Tbh, disappointed this year. Check in we were lucky to be able to check in early. There was a massive queue forming behind us as everything was being done manually. Room nice enough but no complimentary water as we would expect (we had this in Marriott earlier this week) The entrance and public areas are looking a little tired now also.. Got back 11:30pm last night, went to the bar, asked for Bailey’s. They’d run out. Asked for Tia Maria. The bar guy said they didn’t have any of that either with no apology or offer of an alternative so we left and went to bed. Their loss, a shame really, this hotel used to be good. Would not recommend now, stay in Marriott much better similar prices.

Literally 2 minutes from the Utilita arena, you can see it from the hotel. Room was massive (bigger than my own bedroom at home) and accessible which meant there were grab rails and emergency cords, perfect for emergencies however I can't help but think having them on the 12th floor wasn't their best idea in the event of a fire etc. Some minor erks, no shower curtain so the bathroom flooded each time we had a shower, the floor in the bathroom stayed wet for hours with no way to dry it except the towels they provided. Emergency cord is so near the bed that you risk pulling it if you roll over in bed. The toilet flushes so loud other rooms can hear them, and the air con/heating is again so loud you won't be able to sleep with it on. The pipes banged every night and the lifts clunked and banged every time someone used them. The doors had swollen with the damp weather so the only way to close them was to slam them. Food is extortionate, over £30 for 2 sandwiches and 2 glasses of wine. Breakfast is again shockingly expensive at £17.50 a person for a buffet style breakfast and parking is chargeable at £17 a day. At over £400 for 3 nights you'd assume parking to be free as a thanks for spending that much money. Luckily we didn't have a car, but that was idiotic.

I recently spent three nights at Radisson Blu Cardiff at a total cost of approximately £523, and unfortunately, the experience fell well below the standard one would reasonably expect at this price point. Upon arrival, the room lacked several basic amenities: no slippers, no complimentary water bottles, and no dental kit. Although I had my own toothbrush, there was no toothpaste available in the room, and it required four attempts to get through to staff and request one. This level of responsiveness is not aligned with the brand reputation Radisson historically carried. Housekeeping standards were equally disappointing. On the first morning, after requesting the room to be serviced while we were out exploring the city, we returned to find the room poorly cleaned. Tissue boxes were left out of their holders, bedding was not refreshed, and the same sheets and blanket were simply pulled over rather than properly remade. For a property in this price band, this is far from acceptable. At a rate of £523, one expects a level of care, consistency, and attention to detail that was simply absent throughout the stay. I am aware that Radisson may no longer position itself as a top-tier brand, but pricing must still reflect service capability. In this case, the mismatch was stark. The price for the same amount of nights now shows £272.

Very spacious room with everything I needed. There seemed to be an adjoining door ... Lots of loud talking coming from that room. Not great sound proofing. Tea tray was ok, but there were no decaf drinks. I did actually go to reception to see if they had any and they gave me decaf coffee... Oh and a hot chocolate, so that was great. They have toiletries in case you forget anything like I did. Need was huge and very comfortable. Plenty of power sockets near the bed.

Amazing hote to stay in. Brilliant reception staff, especially Blessing, credit to the company. If you need anything they are happy to help at any time of the day. Breakfast is brilliant and something there for literally everyone. Couldn’t fault it one bit. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making our weekend even better.

Loved my stay here - the reception lady was just so welcoming and helpful, she actually randomly upgraded me which was a nice surprise after a long day of travelling! The room was beautiful, spacious, clean etc - bathroom lovely, clean and modern. The only issue was dinner - I ordered a chicken burger and chips and got boiled potatoes and a birds eye frozen chicken breast. It was fine as I think there was a kitchen issue but I did think it was a bit crazy to charge £20 or so. If your kitchen isn’t working, no problem but don’t charge the full usual price. Breakfast the next morning was delightful though! overall really pleasant!

Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Room was okay, great view of city and bathroom very clean and fancy. Carpets are very dated however and could do with an upgrade. Breakfast is very good, plenty of choice and quite delicious. Restaurant is however very very warm seems there is no air con and was actually so warm we felt sick. Great location close to everything you need.

Let's look at the positives. The room was clean and presentable, if a little soulless. The breakfast was very satisfactory - I was happy with that. The staff were very welcoming on check in. Unfortunately that completes the positives, and it feels like I am clutching a little with those. I visited the fitness room - let's not call it more than that - to find of the four machines in the room, two were broken. I then tried to have a bath - to find my bath plug wouldn't seat properly and as such drained constantly, making a bath an impossibility. On reporting my issues at reception on checkout, the response was "I will report that for you". Not long on customer service at that point. A 4* hotel in a prime location in Cardiff, selected for specifically the availability of a fitness suite overall was disappointing. Would I return - possibly. Given it was a business stay and the price is in budget and the location makes it attractive. As to the quality of stay, I would have had justcas good at any number of alternative offers, and were there a Premier Inn next door I would be there next time.

This is not a luxury hotel and not worth the price tag. We booked a “superior “ room as we attended a concert near by so location is great. The rooms are not as advertised, tired and basic. 1 main ceiling light , basic/cheap furniture. Food is terrible. We had breakfast and had to clear a table ourselves. Food was cold and not worth it. We had a great lunch at the bar and this gave us hope so we thought we would order room service. After calling the main hotel phone number….. as they don’t give you the room service number, we ordered burgers and fries which turned up cold and the burgers were dry. We decided to leave early the next day and at checkout a lovely receptionist was very apologetic about our stay and gave us an email address so I could make a complaint. Unfortunately they don’t even have the courtesy to acknowledge a complaint and have not heard a word. Please read reviews and do not book a Raddison hotel.
