From the moment I arrived at the hotel with a friendly member of staff showing me where to park my stay was off to a very positive start. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and very well maintained. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel especially handy if you're flying from Cardiff airport.

2nd stay at this hotel now while we have been visiting Barri island. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. The room was massive, clean and comfortable. The bar area was lovely and relaxing. Food was nice too.

We stayed at the Celtic International on two separate occasions — one night before our flight from Cardiff, and a second night on our return due to a late arrival. First Night (Twin Room): • Cleanliness: Absolutely faultless — the room was spotless. • Style: Unfortunately, the room felt extremely dated. The carpet was tired, and the overall décor looked stuck in the 1970s, giving the impression that little investment had been made in upkeep. • Comfort: The single mattresses were very poor quality. Every spring could be felt, and we struggled to get a good night’s sleep. Second Night (Double Room): • Cleanliness: Again, excellent — the standards of cleanliness are clearly consistent throughout the hotel. • Style: A big improvement. This room was more in line with the standard we expected for the price, and overall felt much better than the twin. • Comfort: While the mattress still wasn’t perfect (the springs were noticeable), it was at least comfortable enough to allow for a proper night’s rest. Service: This was where things really let the experience down. I had informed the hotel in advance that we would be arriving late due to our flight, and even provided an estimated arrival time. Despite this, there was no one at reception to check us in. We rang the doorbell six times over several minutes with no response. Eventually, I had to wander through the hotel myself and found someone in the kitchen. His response was dismissive, saying he couldn’t hear the bell from there, and even remarking that we were “lucky” he hadn’t locked the door, or we would have been left outside. This was particularly disappointing given the prior communication about our late arrival. Prior to this the service had been fine.

I recently stayed at the Celtic International Hotel and had a really pleasant experience. The staff were absolutely lovely – so friendly, welcoming and happy to help, which made the whole stay feel relaxed and comfortable. The food was also excellent, with plenty of choice and everything cooked really well. The rooms, while perfectly functional and clean, could do with a little updating in places – but they still provided everything needed for a comfortable night’s sleep. Overall, it’s the warmth of the people and the quality of the food that really make this hotel stand out. A great base with a genuinely friendly atmosphere – I’d happily stay again.

The staff is exceptional. The front desk person helped me out upon arrival, showed me my room, and gave me info on finding dinner. Dinner is not served on site Sundays, but the bar is open. Room was spacious. Shower pressure was great. Bed was a little bit uncomfortable, but that was the only thing that was a little off. Takes less than 5 min to get to the airport. GREAT way to end my time in Wales and get to the airport for an early flight. Would definitely return.

Good enough for a stopover. Everything worked and the place was clean and warm in winter. Price reflects the age of the rooms, but the decoration has been kept up to date and maintained in the room I had, so no complaints. Had a bath as well as a shower which is always a plus for me. I hate the pricier modern hotels that only have shower cubicles.

Lovely staff. Great location to airport. Nice pint of lager. Big and clean rooms. Not the most modern but amazing value for money. Comfy bed. No complaints

Great place to stay location wise, however, we found the room is in need of a lick of paint and a new window!!! Apart from that the bed was really comfortable. The elderly lady working on reception and the bar was fantastic, she worked wonders on her own. She also recommended the Highwayman public house for food and we weren't disappointed. Definitely stay there again if we use Cardiff Airport again! (PS- after covid hope they are successfull in managing to get a chef and get their dinning room open) loved the bar!!

I stayed here for one night and have advised my company not to use the hotel in future. The young lady on reception was really helpful and pleasant, and the hotel is located very close to the airport and offers free parking. The room and the hotel on the other hand were poor, grubby, musty, and dirty, I'll let the photos speak for themselves, I'm sure the hotel will respond and tell me I didn't mention this during my stay. I was there for one night, was in the room late and out again before 7am, my photos tell you all you need to know. The corridors and room have air fresheners plugged in and placed along the corridors trying to mask the musty smell, the smell should be addressed rather than masking it. Two stars for the staff and the location.

I mean everyone will have their own feelings about how the bed feels and all that. But what you can’t deny is the kindness and hilarity of the staff. Talking with them for hours and hours about all the things in the world is an amazing time. So kind and nice, rooms are lovely too and cleaned properly
