    The manager is super friendly guy. The room is very basic but sufficient. The bed is very comfortable. I didn't like the taste of the coffee from the boiled water in the room's kettle. It had a strange taste to it. The breakfast was a bit too over cooked and the egg had a strange aftertaste. Like melted plastic or soap that wasn't rinsed well. The coffee I was served was very weak and lukewarm. For the money I paid, I suppose I can't complain. The location is great, walking distance to the beach. Parking is a problem but there is a huge parking bay just accross the street but then you need to pay about £14 for over night parking per 24 hours.

If you’re looking for somewhere in Weston-super-Mare that feels like a home from home, The Richmond is the place to be. It’s in a fantastic location, with plenty of amenities and great places to eat within comfortable walking distance. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth by the owner, Jonathan. His friendly nature and extensive local knowledge made my three-night stay even more enjoyable, with plenty of great suggestions for things to do and see. Breakfast each morning was perfect – spot on, beautifully presented, and expertly prepared by Steve, who couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was just right. On my last day, I had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan’s mother and her close friend, and we enjoyed a lovely conversation about the importance of good food and service – something The Richmond clearly understands and delivers. I have no doubt this will be my go-to place to stay whenever I return to Weston. Thank you, Jonathan and Steve – see you again soon!

    What a wonderful experience from start to finish, called the hotel last minute to query availability and I spoke to Steve, Steve was very helpful and very polite on the phone. On arrival early evening Me, my partner and our dog were met by Jonathan, he was very polite and very welcoming, give us the lay down of the hotel and off we went to our room, we had a lovely room just what we needed for the night, bathroom was spotless clean and the view from the room was amazing over looking the beach, we headed out for a few hours then came back to sleep, the hotel was warm and cosy, bed was comfortable but the room did get very hot even with the window open but it’s just that time of year. In the morning we headed down where we were greeted by Steve and asked what breakfast we would like we went for the English breakfast and wow it was delicious! Throughly enjoyed so compliments to the chef :) all in all we loved our stay and believe we will become regulars when we come to western! Thank you both and hope to see you again very soon! 5* from us!! Highly recommend

    Absolutely outstanding service from John and Steven! From the moment we got there they were extremely accommodating. My moms disabled and I was a little apprehensive booking this property due to the accessibility but they went above and beyond to help my mom and make her comfortable. They are extremely welcoming, and the hotel was very homely. The views were amazing and the breakfast was top notch. Highly recommend staying here and we will be back very soon!

    I wound up spending an amazing New Years Eve night at this hotel and the proprietor, Jonathan, was the most lovely, gracious host, better than I could have asked for. Absolutely phenomenal guy, made all the guests very welcome and gave us an unforgettable celebration.

    Such a great find! Jonathan was welcoming, warm, and quite the comedian. Rang in the new year with regulars in the bar area, fireworks provided by J and clear sight of the pier, he even pulled out the karaoke machine and joined in. Definitely full of care and character.

    Location is perfect, a step back from the front so it's quiet, but still has undisturbed views of the front and the sea (when it shows up). The hotel has a bar which over looks the park, so children can play under your supervision from the terrace. The staff are all very helpful, but the owner is amazing, really nice chap and extremely welcoming. We will be returning.

    The staff were delightful. The manager was super friendly. The location (set back from the seafront) allowed pure silence to bestow you at night. Food was fabulous. Just a great place to chill and watch the world go by.
