   This company demonstrates an extremely poor standard of professionalism and customer service. A property viewing was booked and confirmed for 1:30pm on 20 December, including explicit confirmation earlier in the week with a member of staff named Emily. Despite this, I received a call the afternoon before the appointment informing me that the viewing could now only take place at 12:30pm. I made it clear that this was not feasible, as my entire week had been planned around the originally confirmed time and I was travelling from London. No attempt was made to offer a reasonable alternative or compromise. I was simply told that someone was unwell and that 12:30pm was the only option to “fit the diary,” with no regard for my prior confirmation or travel arrangements. In an effort to accommodate their last-minute change, my partner—who lives near Coventry—attended at 12:30pm. I arrived at 12:45pm, having travelled from London. Despite this minimal delay, the agent on site rushed my partner through the property, repeatedly attempting to end the viewing. Upon my arrival, I was refused entry entirely and was not allowed to view the property at all. When I contacted the estate agency to address the situation, responsibility was shifted entirely onto me, with staff stating that the incident was “my fault.” To make matters worse, the agent conducting the viewing used foul and inappropriate language towards us, which is wholly unacceptable in any professional setting. This experience reflects a complete lack of organisation, accountability, and basic courtesy. The company showed no respect for confirmed appointments, client time, or professional conduct. I would strongly advise others to avoid engaging with this business, as it appears incapable of delivering even the most fundamental level of service.

Richard gave an accurate and fair valuation and the photos Shortland Horne add to their listings are first class. Aftersales, Sue takes over and she was great. Anytime we needed a solicitor needing a nudge or something, a simple call or email to Sue and things were moving again immediately. I'm certain it was no coincidence.    I would definitely recommend Shortland Horne Estate Agents at the Waslgrave Road Branch. In particular, I was very impressed with Sue Costello and Richard Costello. We were kept up to date on a regular basis on the progress of the sale all throughout the process by Sue and Richard. Firstly, Richard came round to market the property. We were very pleased with the outcome of the great photos and video too. Thereafter, despite some issues at the bottom of the chain. Sue managed to overcome these problems and finally complete our sale. Thank you all for your efficiency and efforts.

   I really cannot thank the team well enough. Sue and Richard who looked after our property sale but also purchase are absolute stars as is Will who was the field agent who showed the property to our potential buyers. Dealing with very difficult, basically incompetent, solicitors working for our buyers, was something that Sue made look simple but I am sure it wasn't. They certainly drove me mad and if it wasn't for Sue, we would have never completed. Great job for which we cannot thank them enough!

The marketing was great, the sales team were professional and pro active, the communication was fab and above all the thing that i valued the most was the honesty at all times. If you are thinking of selling or buying this is the only branch you should use.
