   Nice little place to say and visit Barry island and common castle. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, area is peaceful even near an airport. Would stay here again without hesitation.

   After driving for hours and needing a comfortable, welcoming place to stay “The Roost on Rock Rd” was the perfect antidote to a stressful week. Room was perfect, bed so comfy with a fabulous big bath and waterfall shower, the decor is gorgeous. Everyone so welcoming and helpful. I’ll definitely come back to this peaceful haven, it’s a hidden gem.

   I came all the way from Manchester for my hair transplant with Dr. Ted Miln and needed a place to stay nearby. I was tired from the journey, so this place was absolutely perfect. The clinic recommended it, and it turned out to be one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Getting in and out was super simple and convenient with the passcode they sent. I was gutted to miss out on the restaurant since it was closed on Monday and Tuesday, but I’ll definitely try to dine in next time I visit when it’s open. The room had everything I needed — very comfortable, with great showers, and I really loved the interior. It was exactly what I needed to rest and recover after the procedure. The location is ideal too: just a 5-minute walk to the Co-op and a 5-minute drive to the clinic. I could see my car from my room, and the place felt safe and secure. Overall, one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!

   Had lunch yesterday with friends. Have to say the best meal we had in a long while. Service was excellent. Every course was fresh, hot and delicious. Can't recommend the Roost enough. Definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you.

   First time at Roost was the day they opened, food was amazing so went quite regularly until this November when I sent Lamb back as was too tough, no flavour, certainly unlike I had had before. Changed meal for Chicken with Dauphinoise and Ratatouille. The chicken LEG tasteless, an eye full of Dauphinoise and Ratatouille was absolutely tasteless, in fact was nothing like Ratatouille, I can cook a perfect one. I informed them that it was tasteless but no comment and charged for meal. What a pity as I loved this restaurant but probably won't go there again.

   Just enjoyed the best Sunday lunch with the best roast beef that I think I have ever had at The Roost. Staff were just lovely and the pub itself gorgeous, homely and we will be treating ourselves here again soon
