Great experience purchasing through the Matthew James Property Services team, from arranging a viewing within 1 hour of calling to enquire to having our offer accepted within 3 working days, making a member of the team available for 2 further viewings prior to exchange and always having great communication between ourselves and the seller. We were first time buyers and this was a no chain transaction, but all of the support, particularly from Susie, helped the house purchase complete within 12 weeks!
Matthew James are a lovely agents, they take the time to get to know the landlords and the tenants the work with. They are always very professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy, rent or let a property.
Just adding one-star because without it I can't make this post. The level of unprofessionalism was even below the ground. It was "sub-subpar". It was abysmal. Please, find another agent like I did. It was so bad that at a point, I thought I had encountered scammers. The way the agent I was dealing with was intentional about not picking my calls or replying my texts... you'd think I did something offensive. The lack of communication was annoying. Anyone with anxiety issues should not bother with these time-wasters. Then again, everything turned out great when I got a different agent. It was zoom-zoom. I guess these people weren't supposed to be the ones I'd get my apartment from. P.S. If you contact an agent that is not forthcoming, please just find someone else. It probably means the agent is not for you. And you will find the place that is actually for you. This is the lesson my experience with this unprofessional agent taught me.
Great experience with Matthew James Property Services. Particularly with Susie, who kept us updated and chased the vendors as and when needed. We would definitely use them again for future purchases! And would look forward to dealing with them again. The complimentary gift box we got on completion was a lovely touch too especially if your sale hasn’t been as smooth as hoped - not at fault of the agent or buyer so can be a frustrating situation. Emma worked tirelessly on our sale. Communicating with 10+ people involved in the chain to ensure a mortgage offer deadline in the chain was met. Matthew James Property Services sold my flat for me within 3 days of posting on Rightmove. It was sold 3 days before Christmas and at the asking price. They are an extremely professional company with genuine credentials and all with very good knowledge of the market place and a sincere and genuine understanding of the needs of their clients, with a good dose of humour and reality added for good measure. I would not hesitate to recommend Matt to anyone looking to sell a good property. After a particularly friendly and down to earth initial conversation on the phone, he arrived the next day with a packet of chocolate biscuits which we had joked about in our conversation. The whole experience from beginning to end was extremely pleasant - not like anything I had experienced before from other estate agents.
