   Booked here last minute due to having to stay over , WOW what a fantastic place to stay . Lisa is so welcoming and just a lovely host, The house is Decorated in lovely period Decor , and is spotlessly clean .Also breakfast is first class , if you need accommodation then definitely stay here as it is far better than your premier inn,s and travel lodges. Lisa and the place are a little Gem . Go on give it a go !! You won't be disappointed. Thank you Lisa , happy Xmas to yourself and family. Kind regards .Martin Baker

   What a gem of a place! Lisa is most welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely clean annex room, with quality food for breakfast, including homemade jam, which was delicious. 10 min walk to the train station and 10 min train ride to Cardiff. Perfect stay

   Lisa and Llion very friendly, and knowledgeable about the area, try their best to accommodate you for what ever you want, breakfast was lovely and plentiful, rooms where clean and ample in size with on-suite bathroom. The Ty Mynydd lodge made the holiday perfect.

   Lisa is a wonderful host- very accommodating for an early breakfast time, friendly, gave a great recommendation for dinner, very personable. We stayed in the twin room. The room was small- the bathroom was very small. The room was quite warm. We were able to get some relief by opening the window- the main road had considerable traffic so we closed it to sleep. Lisa made an amazing breakfast with four choices for hot meals plus an array of cereals, fruit, and croissants!

   What a truly wonderful hidden gem. Ty Mynydd Lodge is full of amazing character & features, plus it has a very unique and famous history. The location is perfect for traveling in & around Cardiff as well as going further afield. The rooms are perfect, the owners cannot do enough for you and the breakfasts are truly fantastic. What a find!!

   We had a wonderful stay at Ty Mynydd Holiday home - which is a separate annex of the lodge with a little private garden area. We were very comfortable and were spoilt for choice with the included breakfast items. We loved the home made jam. Bed and sofa bed are comfortable, and bedding is lovely and soft. Lisa is a brilliant host and we felt so welcome. It's really easy to get to from the m4 and the village is lovely. Highly recommend staying here

   Where do I started? I booked visa Booking.com and got the date wrong, Lisa was very responsive to my query and made booking another date easy. We arrived within the area and couldn't find the lodge, so I called Lisa on the number provided and she was great with directions making it very easy to find. Lisa greeted us and it was lovely meeting her, she is very welcoming. The room was lovely and clean. The bathroom was compact but did everything we needed it to do. The information within the room was helpful, as it gave you suggestions on where to eat. It also included, taxi numbers too My daughter and I had a great night sleep and had a great breakfast in the morning. There was more then enough to choose from. Fruit, cereals, yoghurt and even a cooked breakfast. There was even homemade jam, that's tasted really good. You couldn't of ask for more. We were very, very happy. We only stayed 1 night, but would be very happy to stay again. Thank you for a great stay.

   Such a beautiful place to stay and even more so with the Christmas decorations greeting you on entry. My mum and I stayed in the twin bedroom,the mattress is the BEST I've ever slept on. The hostess was really friendly and helpful. I am a vegetarian and this was easily accommodated at breakfast time. The lodge is not easy to spot at night but I rang the hostess and she went to the roadside to wave at me so I knew where they were. How amazing to find such a gem. If I'm ever in the area again this will be the first place I would stay again and again.
