If you need a place to sleep before an early flight β€” or you simply enjoy the thrill of sleeping within taxiing distance of a flying tin can β€” the ibis airport hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. You can practically hear your plane warming up while you brush your teeth. The beds and pillows are on the firmer side. In fact, if you’ve ever wondered what it might feel like to sleep on a politely padded ironing board, this is your moment. Perfect for those who like their mattresses with a hint of discipline. The bathroom design is… creative. It has the energy of someone realising, very late in the building process, β€œOh no, we forgot the en suite β€” quick, shove that circular pod thing in the corner and hope no one notices.” To be fair, the shower works perfectly well once you’ve stopped laughing at it. Despite the quirks, the hotel is reasonably priced and brilliantly located for a pre‑flight stopover. It’s not luxury, but it’s reliable, convenient, and mildly entertaining β€” which is more than you can say for most airport hotels.

We had great service from the Indian staff at the bar and restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely with lighting and decor, the room was modern & lovely. The toilet was clean, but I think they forgot to decorate that. Herman in the restaurant was fantastic and went beyond & over on his service, a rising star in our opinion. We had a curry, and it was fantastic, giving some Indian restaurants a run for their money.

We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel. The hotel itself was very clean, well-kept, and everything worked perfectlyβ€”from the fresh towels to the facilities, which made our stay comfortable and stress-free. During our visit to the restaurant, we were especially impressed. The service was quick, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. A special mention goes to Kal, our server, who truly made the experience memorable. His friendly attitude and attentive service turned a great meal into an enjoyable highlight of our trip. Thank you to Novotel and to Kal for making our stay so pleasantβ€”we’ll definitely be returning when we fly out again.

Perfect location to get to the Airport or Nec. Room was clean and comfortable enough for my two night stay. There was however a few issues when I arrived to check in, as I had booked in advance early check-in and late check-out and received a confirmation email to state I would be paying the extra fees for those services upon arrival and that my booking was ammended accordingly. When I showed up to early check-in I was flat out denied rather rudely by the lady at the desk, and told it wasn't guarenteed and only 'per availability on the day' which is ridiculous when you can book the services so far in advance. When I explained I had already booked the service I was spoken to as if I was supposed to know it wasn't guarenteed despite emails clearly implying otherwise. Regardless I left my luggage and returned a few hours later to check in and had to ask to make sure I wasn't charged the fees for services I did not receive. That night I decided to return to the desk to check with a different member of staff that my late check out was still confirmed and was told it would be no issue. On the day I was due to check out I had two lots of cleaning staff waiting outside my room door asking if I was leaving and both seemed confused and frustrated I wasn't checking out until later. I had to tell one of the cleaning staff I simply wouldn't be back before late checkout as I had plans and fortunately my room was left untouched in the end and I checked out as planned. Other than the few issues, the bar and downstairs area was lovely. There was always a staff member at the desk available which was good. And the hotel overall was quiet. Will be using again, but likely wont bother with trying to check in early/late again due to being messed around.

Absolutely lovely stay. Rooms were spacious and modern but did not have bathtubs sadly. The resturaunt was a particular highlight with some of the best service I have ever received from Mukesh. He went out of his way to make my night enjoyable and memorable; I was pleasantly impressed that he maintained this brilliant level of service with all of his tables not just ours. He is truly a great asset to his team and worthy of the highest praise. If staying at Birmingham Airport I would strongly recommend this hotel. For it’s excellent location, fine rooms and above all its very welcoming and attentive staff.

Had requested room with runway view but didn't get one. Then the air con didn't work. The room was very small. We were moved to a larger disabled room. The restaurant was basic, the food OK but my white wine was warm and I had to request ice cubes to put in to cool it. The best thing is its proximity to the departure gate.

Ideal Hotel for travellers using Birmingham Airport. Located by the Premium Set Down/Pick Up, only a very small walk from Arrivals and Departures. Rooms were fairly basic, no frills, breakfast menu available was very good,(buffet) Bar 24 x 7, and reasonably priced. The price of the room was very reasonable particularly where Hotel is located. Will definitely use again

The hotel was clean and very efficient. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was a pod like a cruise ship. There was no hair dryer and no soap in the shower. The TV switched itself on at 03:05 and woke us both up. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant was average my burger was excellent but the wife's chicken curry was stone cold. We sent it back and it was replaced and we were given a complimentary drink. Overall for one night it is acceptable the location is brilliant 2 minute walk from check in at Birmingham airport.

This is a popular Hotel just a short walk away from the Airport terminal. There was a bit of a wait checking in, but the room was very clean and adequate for an overnight stay. The beds were very comfortable and had a good nights sleep. Did not experience any noise from the planes. We didn't use the restaurant or bar however it was very busy and a lot of people were eating in. Quick check out in the morning. Great start to our holiday.

Rooms were clean and bed was good, what you would expect from a budget hotel. Breakfast and evening dining were chaotic, run out of a lot of meals, nice if you were lucky to get what you wanted, one waitress, Anita P worked her socks of, only her and one other seemed to be taking orders, too many tables squashed together and no organisation, breakfast staff slow in clearing tables, needs better planning.
