I registered my cat Pombear, a rescued senior ex-stray, here. We became frequent visitors after he started to become unwell in early 2025. After a month or so of tests it turned out he had a relatively rare form of cancer, one that is quite tricky to diagnose. I really appreciated the persistence of the vets in trying to find an answer for us, including getting specialist advice from the RVC and pathologists. His fortnightly chemo treatment then gave him several happy, healthy months. Unfortunately, like many cats, he finally succumbed to kidney disease. Pombear was a sweet but stubborn customer who had a history of being quite feisty with vets (and unfortunately he scratched a vet in the face on his first visit here), but despite this, everyone here was always so understanding and compassionate towards him. They were so dedicated and really went above and beyond to help him on several occasions during his illness. As frequents visitors, we met many of the vets and staff and found everyone unfailingly lovely and dedicated. Iona looked after him in his final weeks and eventually put him to sleep, and was so patient and caring towards both of us. I’m so glad I chose to bring him here.

EDIT ; After receiving really disappointing service the first time and leaving the review I did , the area manager got in contact with me and we went back and forth to discuss the matter. I had an appointment pre paid for my puppy for her second set of injections and wasn’t feeling great about having to go back , however , Vea reassured me that we should attend and that she would put correct measures in place. When arriving , Vea was there to greet us and was extremely polite. Very apologetic and understanding of our frustration. She met the puppy as she was excited to do so and came in with us for the appointment itself to insure a good service was met from when we entered to when we left the practice. My puppy ended up needing some medicine for her ears which came to a rather high cost that we hadn’t quite been prepared for. Due to the service or shall I say lack of , the previous visit she offered a gesture of good will to lower the price slightly and help us out , again the whole experience was much better this time around. The two ladies at reception which we had issues with the first time , were there however we did not have any form of contact with them. Because of the reassurance and kindness from Vea , we will be returning however this will still be with caution as we know this wasn’t of normal duty for the area manager to deal with us directly. She really did make a bad experience better. Absolutely awful & disgusting service today from the two ladies on reception. The Vet himself was thorough, attentive & welcoming. The ladies were extremely rude, with attitude, miscommunication, not understanding a simple question nor providing any accurate information despite what the vet had just told us. She was raising her voice & causing a scene making us feel very uncomfortable especially we had a young child with us & a puppy. Unfortunately we have to get our Puppy’s second vaccine unless we can get a refund & go elsewhere for our long term upkeep etc. I would not recommend such a hostile environment for any pets or owners as these people need to learn some manners & customer service!!

Love this vet. We switched over from Medivet because we were tired of being overcharged and our cats subjected to unnecessary treatment. So glad we did. Everyone who works here is great with us and the vets are wonderful with our cats. We have had excellent help by phone and email and got great advice that has saved our guys stressful trips in. Even our very anxious cat feels safe here

To this vet place I have been coming since February 2020. The staff are always kind, friendly and supportive. Every time all my fur girls (cats) are getting so much love and care. A massive thank you to everyone who works there.

My very anxious Pomeranian Lila LOVES the doctors here, they're reasonably priced, provide excellent care and advice!!! Dr Shaw is a godsend for Lila, vet visits are so much better with her!

Amazing independent vets. They're always attentive and diagnosed my dog's allergies when other practices couldn't. Highly recommend

The vet (lady & I think she was Australian) who vaccinated my dog last week was SO helpful. My dog doesn't like the vets at all and she was so patient and handled him so well that he didn't even need to wear a muzzle in the end. Have had her twice now and she always makes me feel so much calmer and less anxious about taking my dog to the vet.

Cannot praise the place high enough! They took care of my elderly dog really well. Fast appointments, super friendly staff, very responsive and thorough! The op my dog had went really well, with 2 follow ups. Steve was priceless even to the point where my dog was actually happy to see him after the op - of course liver treats played a small role. The best thing about this place is that they have plenty of very qualified staff. It's like a big family. Hoping not to be back but if I do, this is a good place to come back to!

The 2 vets we've seen for our puppy check ups have been brilliant, really caring and patient. They don't rush you and they have clear affection for the animals. Really impressed with the whole experience. The receptionists are really friendly too unlike others I've experienced in different veterinary practices.
