Priscilla was outstanding! While we were abroad, she went above and beyond to ensure our sleeping arrangements were met without any hassle. Her professionalism and genuine care made a huge difference in our travel experience. Highly recommend this company — and a special thanks to Priscilla for her amazing support!

I am writing this review as I submitted a formal complaint to Travelbag over a month ago and was promised a response within 28 days, which I have still not received. We booked a holiday for four via Lilly Doyle and Lucian Baciu at the Solihull branch. Our booking included Diamond Club Junior Suites at the Royalton Antigua. I was told by Lilly Doyle at Travelbag that the two room categories (Mountain View and Bay View) fell under the same price category, and that we could therefore request a room type. We requested Bay View, adjacent rooms so that my parents could help me with my 5 year old daughter. We also mentioned that we were celebrating my parents' 70th birthdays. Upon arrival at the hotel, the hotel had us down as 2 separate bookings and had no idea that we were travelling as a group of 4. The hotel also had no record whatsoever of our request for adjacent rooms, nor for Bay View rooms, despite the fact that Julia Broome, Sales Manager at Travelbag Solihull, had confirmed to us that she had contacted the hotel "directly" with our requests. So instead, we were allocated Mountain View rooms which were far apart from one another. Furthermore, the hotel told us that Bay View rooms fell under a different price category - i.e. we were mis-sold information by Travelbag. To make matters worse, four of our suitcases were delayed by Virgin Atlantic (my daughter's bag arrived 2 days later, my parents' bags arrived 3 days later, and mine arrived 5 days later - with the lock and zip both broken). My father had emailed Lilly Doyle, Lucian Baciu and Julia Broome at Travelbag Solihull twice, both on the matter of our room allocation, and for assistance regarding our luggage issues, as we were getting nowhere with either the resort or the airline. We received no response whatsoever following these emails. Travelbag were keen to get our holiday booked with them, but we received no support at all thereafter. In addition, we were not informed by Travelbag prior to our trip that we would have a point of contact/local rep in Antigua. When we spoke with our rep, he told us that Travelbag had booked and organised our holiday through his agency (so we don't even know whether Travelbag did or did not contact the hotel "directly" with our requests, as they claimed to have done). Had we been informed of our local rep ahead of our holiday, we could have contacted them much sooner for assistance. All in all, what was meant to have been a relaxing, celebratory holiday turned out to be an extremely stressful, frustrating and disappointing stay.

Walked into the Solihull branch and spoke to Lucian where we booked a trip to South Africa When we received the confirmation, one flight and several rooms were a downgrade to what we had paid. Then we received several more emails where more rooms were downgraded - giving us no confidence in the whole booking. When asking about why, this was due to availability - which doesn’t make sense as the first email was a fully confirmed booking. But even so, if something changed, we’d expect a refund for downgraded rooms, but we were told they were the same cost and eventually told we were due £75, but we calculated the difference at c.£835. We were rudely told to just go on the holiday, enjoy it and they’ll sort any issues out after. And our bags were not transferred between flights as promised nearly causing them to be left in Joburg rather than following us back to the UK. I would avoid this sham of a company, as Lucian treated us badly and his boss was even worse, so seems the entire company is like that.

We've been here more than once to book long-haul holidays, the latter being a multicentre trip. Staff are very helpful when tailoring trips to suit and. Didn't pressure the sale. We were able to go away and think about it before committing once we'd had all our questions asked. We knew our availability of travel dates and the best options looked at for flight times, costs and hotels. We will definitely be back in the future.

I recently booked my honeymoon to the Maldives through travelbag, the lady was very helpful in helping me sort the original booking out, they offered some good deals and took the time to help me get something I was happy with, the only thing stopping me give a 5 star was after I booked it, I felt like some of the staff wasn't bothered with any questions and queries I had, some was friendly though, it was like they had the booking so wasn't too fussed, I was looking to upgrade to a better island with a better Villa, I did book something better in the end but it felt like I was a nuisance

I wanted to book a flight that I had seen on internet but I thought I would check in the shop first just in case they had any other flights that might suit me. They didn't have any thing better so I wanted to pay for the flight I had seen online only to be told that paying in the shop would cost a lot more than paying online. So I am just asking what is the point of a high street shop? No wonder the high street is in decline .

Whilst reading this bare in mind I am so fussy and always make the mistake of interfering with suggestions on travel - I can't help myself... comparing costs of flights, journey times and length of stop overs etc.. However last year our family travelled to Australasia and we booked flights via Travelbag, a simple process you would have thought but as I suggested I like to pick on the detail.. Well we made the right choice popping into our Solihull Branch and speaking to Lucian.. a mild mannered and very patient individual, knowledgeable and professional - a great listener and eager to accommodate our needs, flying into one location, departing from a another, oh boy did I mess about but after a couple of visits to the store a few emails and some phones calls and he absolutely nailed it! What a great surprise it was as well to find ourselves booked in to the upper deck of the A380.. great experience - he really does go that extra mile.. So impressed were we that we have returned again to book a complete package this time round - can't say too much about it as it is a surprise for the kids but we will elaborate perhaps in another review upon our return. Lucian is a superb advocate for Travelbag and it's great talking to someone who reassures you with both experience and honesty! Really looking forward now to our next trip... hope my review helps?
