   Greatest chemist I’ve had the pleasure to use and I’ve used a few over the years, I order my prescriptions online, pick them up a few days later and rarely have they been unable to fulfil the prescription too. The owners are wonderful folks to speak too and the guy that sorts the prescriptions is an absolute star. They’re all very knowledgeable and helpful and frankly I never had a bad experience there, so it’s an easy review to write, one I should have done a year or two ago. I hope the government start to recognise that these smaller independent pharmacies need much needed cash injections from central government and stop adding to their workload. Support your local pharmacy and give the staff a warm smile and the occasional thank you for their hard work.

   KK Mistrys are an abusive pharmacy & neglecting vulnerable patients. I’m firstly not happy about the poor customer services reducing me to tears. I just want to note, that I’m severely disabled & extremely vulnerable due to my physical & mental health difficulties. I felt like I was being fobbed off with excuses saying stuff to me like ‘oh can you come back later’ ‘we have other customers to serve besides you’, totally ignoring how serious the situation was. The issue I had was regarding some tablets they prescribed as I couldn’t swallow them properly because the tablets were too large. I reported the issue 3 or 4 times that I was choking on tablets & I nearly had to call paramedics as one of the tablets got lodged in my throat making it difficult for me to breathe. On these 3 or 4 for occasions that I reported my concerns, they failed to log what had happened, follow protocol, still kept prescribing the tablets & taking money from the prescriptions. I kept taking the tablets out of fear, I could get very sick. I asked & begged the pharmacy to please change the tablets to something more suitable & safer but they continued to be rude. Until one day I put my foot down & said look we need to sort this issue out NOW, I did what the pharmacist advised & phoned my GP. The pharmacy accused me of being demanding, made me feel like a burden, they were uncaring, unsupportive when I was asking for something which I felt was a simple request to change the tablets for my safety. I even asked if they could help communicate with my GP to sort the issue out which they refused & said ‘we can’t get involved’ despite the fact it was the chemists fault using rubbish suppliers. I just want to point out when I contacted other pharmacies, they said they are able to source the smaller tablets which KK Mistrys failed to deliver. They didn’t recommend something simple like using a tablet cutter for the larger tablets which could’ve helped resolve the issues. They stated when I asked about the tablet cutters, they are for pensioners or I might not be able to afford it which I felt was a very discriminatory & derogatory personal remark towards people with disabilities. I’m very angry & upset with this chemist as they provoked me into an argument, used my mental health against me, told lies by being rude, unhelpful & unprofessional. The issues that I had could’ve been easily been prevented if they had taken proper care of me, listened & performed there simple duty of care. Because of there negligence, stupidity & ignorance I could have died or worse ended up in hospital. I was going to sugar coat this review, but I need to be honest from both sides. I did kick off when they didn’t listen to me which I’m sincerely apologetic for but I felt my actions were justified because they simply didn’t listen. Also I should mention as well this is not the first time KK Mistrys have caused problems, they’ve asked me to sign for repeat prescriptions without giving me all my medication. When they were specifically told I will NOT sign for any prescription without receiving the medication, they became abusive & rude saying I was using them or misusing there services. But hold on, correct me if I’m wrong I’m not obligated to sign for anything until everything is in stock right? Which it is my prerogative. I have heard from other friends that KK Mistrys is rude & they refused to deliver medications to my friend who was disabled & very sick. For me this was a huge relief as I felt guilty like everything was my fault when I know it wasn’t my fault. Finally I do NOT recommend this pharmacy as a reputable business to family or friends. I would urge you to stay well away as they are unsafe & go somewhere that you will be treated better. Also if you google this pharmacy, they are rated one of the worst pharmacies for not meeting standards by the pharmaceutical council.

   I love this chemist been going here for many years. all of them are such lovely people. make you feel so welcome and especially even more when you get to know them. its just such a shame they are not open on Saturdays though like other chemists. apart from that I would definitely definitely recommend them to anyone.
