Not enough staff, takes 20 mins to speak to someone at the till then another 20 for them to "prep" an asthma inhaler before handing it over

Every month it’s we can’t find your tablets sorry can you come back tomorrow, then say we gave you a emergency supply for a week in which they’ve never did, running around like headless chickens not knowing what to do next, think they all need retraining absolutely disgusting and make out it’s the customers fault

Very poor service!!!. 30 minutes before they closed your prescriptions won’t be accepted to pick up. If you leave for the next day and tell them when you’ll come, the prescription is still not ready! You have to spend another 30 minutes waiting until they prepare everything. If possible avoid.

We’ve used this pharmacy for over 50 years and have had no issues. Unfortunately, the staff seem to be under a lot of pressure and can’t cope with the load. I’m trying to find out when my prescription will be delivered because I obviously need to be home to receive it, so I can’t go anywhere. They never answer the phone and there’s no answering device to leave a message. Please can you introduce a system that informs patients when prescriptions are ready for collection or delivery? I don’t mean to be nasty, just trying to help so customers not left hanging around waiting. Thanks in advance for your understanding. :)

Clearly massively understaffed, and running at a backlog, I will admit I stormed there preparing to kick off about my disabled husband not getting his delivery, but from one glance you can see the poor staff are trying their best and are really up against it. Yes I'll agree it's very frustrating to call and call and get no answer, and that problem needs to be solved by the hiring of new staff. Not everyone has an insane wife to fight their battles, and when the worst happens it won't be the staff we blame. It will be the management.

Since my last review most of the staff have changed & the atmosphere there has greatly improved willing to help, polite, & Friendly . A few problems with getting right tablets , but are now eager to help getting things sorted . Thanking you all for your efforts.

Phoned ahead to check stock, phone was answered straight away. I brought my one-off prescription, it was filled immediately and I was out the door in less than 5 minutes! I've never used this pharmacy before, got a bit stuck as no stock of what I needed in other places... I can see that a lot of people have had poor experiences here, and I can't comment on what it's like for repeats/consistency/when it's busy, but yesterday my experience was perfect.

I went in today to collect my severely autistic brothers prescription that he was owed by them last week. I was told that they couldn’t find it and they were looking. 45 minutes I waited for them, for them to end up saying they didn’t have the medication and it was apparently ‘out of stock’ in all the pharmacies even though I was told it would be ready for me or my mum to collect. Yet Mill Lane have it and they don’t? The women who I dealt with was called Julie T a tall old skinny women with blond bobbed hair and glasses with caked makeup. My mum ended up having to come in because they spoke down to me and told me I was wrong. The women spoke down to my mum acting like she was stupid. Terrible customer service, Disrespectful, atrocious behaviour. If there was 0 star button I would give it 0!!!

In an instance that happened over ten years ago, with this pharmacy that left me without my epilepsy medication on a bank holiday due to a technical error. The pharmacy was collecting my prescription monthly from GP but for some unknown reason that month they failed. After requesting enough medication for the weekend and promising to communicate with GP to find out what went wrong on the Tuesday, they refused to give me any medication until the matter was resolved with GP. The medication I need to take prevents seizures. When even one dose is missed, this can cause sudden withdrawal leading to seizures and even sudden death. I would have been left without my medication for four days. I was a regular customer, not a one off prescription. They continued to refuse to help. In a sheer act of desperation, I helped myself to the medication I needed. The pharmacy phoned the police, I was arrested and charged with theft, they wanted to charge me with burglary. When I got to court the judge dismissed the case and stated the pharmacy was wasting the court's time and should have made more of an effort to help considering the urgency. The pharmacy however decided to ban me from using their whole pharmacy chain. Recently, as it is the nearest Pharmacy to me, I made an enquiry about whether I could use the pharmacy or was the ban still in place, however they told me no and that I am still banned. After all this time the pharmacy still will not accept it's failings. Rude staff and an unwillingness to help. If I could have given zero stars, I would have but would have been unable to leave a review.

Have tried to call this pharmacy for 3 weeks to get my sons prescription sorted and they haven't picked up the phone to me once. It just rings and rings despite having staff in the shop very worrying when they are dealing with people and medication I feel. Now am on 3rd week and praying I can get through or my sons schooling will suffer. Appalling.
