A fantastic gym with friendly staff who are always on hand to help and offer advice if needed. A full range of facilities and a good variety of classes with varied times to suit most schedules. The monthly gym challenges are always fun and is a good way to keep members motivated- who wouldn’t want a free month?! I always get a hello at reception from staff who greet me by name even though I’ve only been going a handful of months. Caludon leisure centre really has that community feel that you don’t tend to get in other places. The first gym I’ve ever felt truly comfortable in! A special thanks to Jamie and Julie for always being so supportive and encouraging!

Negatives My daughter was in stage 2 and was not quite getting her technique right. She essentially was asked to swim up and down continuously with verbal commands on how to get her arms and position her feet and back etc. Having just turned 4, you expect to have someone actually show and teach her how to swim. This was not the case despite being advertised as such on the page. I asked someone get into the water with her to show her the technique. The person was very kind and obliging and said that they would next week. Since then however, there has been a different person every week. I have raised the same issue over and over with the same promise that it will be different next week and an assurance it will be the same person but it isn't. This has been the case for 6 weeks straight. We have decided to go somewhere else because they don't listen and respond to feedback, there is no consistency, there is no discussion on how a child is doing and how they are progressing as it passes on from one teacher to another, there is no support with technique just verbal commands in a very loud and busy room, no differentiation to support different learners - just a one size fits all approach. The showers are also cold. I was told they were having issues but again this has been going on for 6 weeks. The app has a progress review section. Never has it been filled in. Positives The staff are friendly and kind Other groups have people get in the water and show them how to do it The level 1 man is in every week supporting the children

I’ve only attended yoga & qigong classes here so I can’t pass comment on all of the facilities but special mention to the reception staff who have been really helpful with a few minor issues I had getting started with bookings, they’re a really friendly team.

Excellent venue... my grandson has swimming lessons here and there's a great little library on site too. They read to the children and do crafts too.

Perfect location and facility for various sporting organisations. Clean, well managed and definitely worth hiring if you are into basketball etc.

The center seems OK but we were only here for kids Sunday league games, the grass pitch was very nice and well kept, the all weather pitch fir the 2nd game is an astro turf pitch basically green carpet over sand not 3g so not a nice pitch to play on. The home team coach reff'd both their home games in place of a proper ref and was shocking, their players were aggressive, insulting and very badly behaved both games, to the officials, other players and parents. (U14 cov league.)
