My horse was and has been misdiagnosed multiple times; the most recently though on Christmas Day where I payed a £300 deposit come to New Year’s Day and my horse who was initial diagnosed with a stifle issue has now 6 days later had an abscess burst when I rang to get a vet out I was asked for a further £300 even though they have not solved the issue the first time when I asked what I was supposed to do if I didn’t had the £300 I was told they are not a charity their a business by the vet her self then told me to ask my dad (with Parkinson’s ) who’s usually their as he should have it I was also told this was all because of debt on my account this “debt” was acquire by the vets starting a claim ( they were not at any point asked to ) months before the horse was diagnosed with the condition meaning the insurance timeframe had run out plus a miscellaneous £250 that no one can tell me what it’s for and I’ve just been told it’s was carried foward but not what it’s carried foward let alone the intern that’s answer the phone who doesn’t even know their policy’s and guideline they can’t seem to come up with a breakdown of the massive bill I’ve been given all I’ve been told is their not a charity which rI’m quite aware of as they’ve had more then abother money of me and my insurance company

Have had fantastic help from Jess and Christina at Chiltern Equine and always kindness, responsiveness and excellent diagnosis and management. They have also taken the time to give advice on the phone and visit swiftly when needed. They have both gone the extra mile for my horses.

As others said my horse was misdiagnose 2 years running I was told it was just asthma. Vet came out with stethoscope after i gave the symptoms being shown( footy/ tripping/ no energy/ depressed ) all he did was listen to breathing and prescribe ventapulmin . I lost my treasured horse - Don't recommend at all Update: What is the point of investigating when my horse is dead now,. It's about £££ how they can become the biggest and over shine all other vet practices and supporting all the stupid ponies the owners kid has who goes through ponies like socks. We do not want anything to do with a practice who care more about the equipment they can buy than the client as seen by many reviews here. Funny how nearly all negative feedback are being removed. There used to be 20 or so Don't recommend this vet practice at all at all. Not listed on your records??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that just proves my point, we are all just numbers. We spent £ 10.000 on treatment, Xrays, vet visits some times 5 times a week, scans, medications. Trying to save my horse but since neither vet thought to check her feet it's too late. Can you not type different answers to the reviews or do you have to copy and paste your answers on each one. Jesus, just like a virtual programmed bot.. Now I wonder why so many negative reviews have been removed. The truth hurts eh ? Take them down to make it look better.

I have been using Chiltern Equine for years and years with three different horses and one particularly odd boy. I have found them professional, kind and reliable at all times. I’ve found them treat every horse (and owner) as the individual they are and they really care about the horses and learn the horses individual quirks. Are they perfect, is anyone that is human? They have always been there when I have needed them and they have helped my horse recover from multiple injuries and ulcers and stay happy while recovering and sound. I would and have recommended them to anyone, in terms of looking for as much money as possible, I have never had that from them and they could have tried to. Thank you Chiltern Equine.

I have been using this vets practise for many years and can't recommend them highly enough. They were spot on with my old horse as he went through the ageing process and between us he was kept fit, healthy and competing until he was 26 years old!! Last year they vetted my new horse and have since done a grand job with him when he unfortunately sustained a kick in the field a few months ago. The practise offers all of the latest technology in veterinary care and it's all delivered in a very professional manner. The girls in the office have also been great and dealt with all of the insurance queries and issues in a timely manner. Definitely a big thumbs up from me and my horses!!

We had to unfortunately call Chiltern Equine for an emergency out of hours call for my girlfriends horse. I was very impressed with them. The vet was with us very promptly and even kept in contact with us whilst on her way over. This was great and put our minds at rest in a very stressful situation. Would highly recommend.

I've been very happy with the excellent treatment my horse has received with Chiltern equine. They are very skilled, holistic and positive in their approach, and care greatly about the best interests of your horse. Through their thorough assessments and treatment they have helped to make my horse happier, healthier and sounder. Their hospital care is also of a very high standard. Highly recommended.

I went to Chiltern for a second opinion on my horses lameness, and specifically wanted to see Sarah Randall as I had heard a lot of good things about her. I'm really pleased she was recommended to me because the care, attention, experience and knowledge her and her team provided was second to none. Really happy with the service as a whole, thank you.
