Had an emergency with my cat, and took her in on Saturday, after calling other vets who said they can't see us as we're registered with voo. After a basic consult they were very quick to give us the £500-£600 estimate of treatment, to which we had to agree of course. Blood test, iv and urine test. I have to say apart from charging 3x more than other vets, the service is appalling. They only care about the next case, and say everyone is busy, and they give barely no follow up. Have to call and chase for answers for urine tests from a day ago, and being told byb the receptionist that the vets are too busy for a 5mins follow up call about my emergency. I only hope you as people don't ever get sick and are treated the same way by doctors! Awful!

I wouldn’t recommend this vet to anyone. I took my 5 year old lab to Voo on a Saturday evening as an emergency. He had developed very sudden lameness in his front leg and was in a lot of pain. I had emailed over his medical notes prior to the appointment as he has osteoarthritis and elbow / hip dysplasia. We were kept waiting for what seemed like ages and when we were eventually seen by the consultant she told me she had read 1 page of his medical notes as “she couldn’t possibly read all 45 pages”. She did suggest keeping him overnight but I wasn’t keen on this so she suggested I take him home with Gabapentin - a medication I already had. When I questioned if this would be enough to help his pain she told me that “he wasn’t that bad” and “he would be fine” I was up all night with him and the next morning I called again explaining that the swelling in his elbow and leg was much worse and hot to touch and he wasn’t eating or drinking - he was deteriorating very quickly and the Gabapentin was doing nothing for his pain. I was told that if I brought him in again, they would only give him Gabapentin due to his “complex medical history” - a history that they hadn’t read! I wasn’t sent the clinical notes from the visit (I only received the notes when I phoned to complain a few days later). The notes state “to seek immediate medical attention if swelling worsens, becomes red or warm or if systemic signs develop”. But this critical information was never mentioned to me during the consultation. When I called on the Sunday I was told that the vet on duty had been fully updated on my dogs condition by the Saturday vet yet when I explained his worsening symptoms, they didn’t think it was a medical emergency despite what was stated in the notes. They just didn’t seem to care at all. It was awful just watching him deteriorate and be in so much pain My dog actually had septic arthritis and he nearly died. I wish I had read the reviews before taking my beloved dog there.

I am always impressed with the Service from the Receptionist through to the Vets. Always cheerful, helpful and available for a chat. I can't thank Laura and Sam enough for their help in getting Izzie more comfortable during and after her surgery.

I have a dog and two cats and I have been going to Voo vets for roughly 9 years I’m very happy with the care towards my animals the thing I like is that is a 24 hour hospital too . The staff, vets are always doing the best they can do .

Uncaring, unprofessional and not particularly bothered with the enquiry they are dealing with (from a potential new client).. Whilst I was speaking to them (as a potential new client) the lady spoke out loud (maybe to a waiting area?) "don't worry guys, I'll be with you in a minute". Totally unprofessional and laughable. I wouldn't trust my pet to this place if he was on his last legs. Our pets are a business spinner to this practice, nothing more .

Such a friendly and helpful team at Voo vets. My dog had sickness and Diarrhoea and I’d literally just moved to the area the day before calling. A different local vet said they had no appointments and couldn’t help which was disappointing. From the first call the team at Voo Vets were super helpful. I was registered straight away and given some advice before getting an appointment. After a couple of appointments my dog is feeling much better after being prescribed a new type of food. Really great team.

I would strongly advise to consider a different hospital for your beloved pet. Not only did my 17 year old cat suffer a dislocated leg whilst in their care they forgot to cremate him and left him in a fridge for a month. When this was reported they offered a 10% discount like I was complaining about a torn top I bought for m&s and then demanded payment. When the vet reported the dislocated leg she fiddled about with it which was extremely insensitive and still stays with me to this day. Although they denied responsibility for the dislocated leg they advise they’d asked all staff in training to be more careful in future. I have since moved vets

Very poor communication between the vets and receptionists. One receptionist tells me one thing, then another tells me something different. It feels like they want to take you down the most expensive route possible rather than whats best for the animal and client. It's just a business to them and it shows. My cat is like my child and Ive found my experience there has been quite upsetting.

Very disappointed with our recent experience here, from the very beginning it was all about money and not the care of our extremely unwell cat, after being taken in for an emergency appointment (but still had to wait 20mins) and agreeing to take bloods and get our cat on a IV drip it took over an hour to actually administer and complete (after being asked constantly about who was paying and had to sign a consent form after being sent home leaving our boy there with no mention of anything needing to be signed) unfortunately we didnt get the news we hoped for and it was agreed to lay him to rest. The first thing that again was made prominent was the costings, after receiving a copy and pasted email about the costs (stating another clients pet's name) they also seemed to be surprised that we wanted our pet carrier back but had also done paw prints which was a nice touch. I could go on in further detail but to be honest there was so much its not worth us keep thinking about it, it was a horrible day made 100 times worse by Voo Vets. We just felt that there was no actual care at this branch what so ever, we we certainly never be recommending or going to Voo Vets again.
