I took my pomeranian here about a year ago to get her nails clipped, as she really doesn’t like having her paws touched and won’t let me trim them myself. The vet at the time was great and managed to do it within a couple of minutes with no issues. Since I’ve been struggling to trim her nails again, I decided to come back but unfortunately, this visit was completely different. The vet thomas who saw us this time was extremely rude, hostile and made me feel really uncomfortable. He said, in quite a disturbing way, that he would either have to “slam my dog to the ground” or sedate her. I understand refusing a service if a dog is being difficult, but there is absolutely no excuse to talk like that about an animal or to a client.

I would 100% recommend Essex Vets, they saw my golden retriever for a last minute appointment in regards to a lump I found, they said let’s remove and it was done the next day. I like the fact the vet is straight talking no beating around the bush! My boy is healing perfect! Thank you again!

This vets is one of the kindest vets we’ve been too! They are so supportive and kind. When my mums dog was put down they lit the candle and held a moment silence. They are kind and compassionate and felt like they genuinely care about the animals they treat.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I paid the £100 deposit for my Frenchie to have a c section , so i didnt have to pay emergency prices. Came here 3 times for bloods which cost £120 in total , 3rd time we came here turns out she was ready for a c section the vet tomas in his words told me his ready to “open my dog up she’s ready” but I will have to pay for 5 consultations that he had Tuesday. so that was an extra £275 for them he wanted to me to pay plus the £750 for the c section I paid the deposit so I didn’t have to pay extra on top. anyways after the way he spoke with an attitude, I felt like he only cared about money not my dog it was a sign to come home she did it all naturally herself and safe. after seeing a few reviews off how bad c sections have gone wrong this was a complete sign that vet Tomas is not the person to perform a c section on your dog . He only cares about money not the safety .

Want to say a massive thank you to the guys here for taking such good care of our 2 boys. Archie & Oscar were both neutered yesterday evening and everything was so well explained and they were back home the same night. Even saw our older kitten again the same evening when we were worried something was wrong back home and gave him a full check over at a late hour. Scott the nurse on the night shift was so helpful and even assisted carrying my second cat back to the car across the street for me. Could not recommend these guys highly enough. Fantastic surgery, surgeon & staff. Thank you

Went here and had my cats balls off, Freindly staff, front of house a little bit small, luckily wasn't too busy. Did a good job at a reasonable price. Will use again.

Had a great experience, helpful, nice and professional staff, would recommend. If I lived closer I would love for this to be my primary vet. If you're driving, keep in mind parking is a problem- but otherwise 11/10.

On Sunday my girl Nancy went into labour. This was the 1st time I’ve ever done anything like this and didn’t really know what to expect or how long Nancy would be ok for. I called and spoke to a man called Scott who went through absolutely everything with me and what I should I expect and left it down to me when or if I should I bring her in. Scott also went over the emer hour costs on the phone, so when I did bring her in there would be no surprises. the parking wasn’t bad as it was 12am so I parked infront of next doors shop. I was greeted by Scott and the vet (I think her name was mirela) who put me at ease, made fuss of Nancy to keep her calm, they both went over what would happen from now and what roles the team have in the surgery room. When they took Nancy into the back as they was getting the room ready (I guess) I could see through the door they let her wander around with them again all making a fuss of her to keep her calm. It was the little things like seeing that which made me feel calm as I was getting upset in reception as I could see they constantly was looking out for her even before surgery. Surgery went really good after Scott came out to tell me about the puppies and then got them ready and filled the hot water bottle up (again I’ve heard some vets don’t even do that for you) whilst the vet went over all the important after details. Since her op I’ve had a couple of questions and the reception team are always so friendly! Honestly I would recommended this vet practice especially this 3 man team. Honestly it’s the little things that count. They were honestly amazing! Thank you again team!!
