We always book our cat into The Springs when we're away. They have a lovely set up with their heated, comfortable pens. Paul is happy to send updates and photos which put our minds at rest. He is very well taken care of and well fed, as per our instructions.
My dog was fit and healthy when I left her at this kennels recently - when I collected her I was told my dog had been fine. After having travelled the short distance home it was clear my dog was anything but 'fine'. My dog was limping when I got her home and drank water excessively. She was subdued in manner and after having diarrhoea during the night of her first night at home I took her to the vets the following day. The vet told me the red stains on my dogs paws were due to my dog licking her paws excessively to the extent that she had hurt her paws. I was shocked to find my dog had lost 1 kg in weight during her stay at this kennels which is effectively over 10% of her overall body weight. I had taken my dog's food to the kennels when I initially left her and this was individually packed and dated to make the process of feeding her as simple as it could be. My dog has a follow up appointment with the vet in 2 weeks so that the state of her paws may be further examined in addition to checking the weight of my dog again. I fail to see how my dog's current state of health reflects that she was 'fine' when I collected her from this kennels and as such I question the professionalism and credibility of the Springs boarding kennels as a caring environment for dogs. In my opinion I have paid to have my dog neglected. The warm welcome my dog received upon arrival in my presence in my opinion was purely for show. Incidentally I have given these kennels one star as I was unable to post this review otherwise.
My dog has stayed at the kennels many times, I have piece of mind as I know she’ll be well looked after but more importantly is that my dog enjoys going there & gets all giddy when I drop her off. Win win!

We left our cat here for 9 nights during an October trip. When we collected our cat and took her home she settled back to her normal routines very quickly. We've kept our cat at other catteries and on our return home our cat was uneasy and restless. But thankfully we've had no problems at all on our return. We will definitely be using the cattery again without any concerns.

They kindly booked in Toffee last minute as I had a work trip. Amazing owners and lovely kennels. Such a nice location also… 5 star all day long.
We were very reluctant to place our cocker spaniel in boarding kennels following a previous bad experience at another kennel, but then we were lucky to be recommended Springs! On a visit I had no qualms or concerns and did not hesitate to book our dog in. She was happy during her visit and looked very happy and well cared for when we collected her. It is definitely a home from home and Paul and Ros are like foster parents. Millie still spins her head around when we say uncle Paul! She will be back ☺
