   We have stayed at Riverside Hotel a few times now whilst in the area visiting family. We find it a very attractive place to stay, surrounded by the lovely river, that runs right next to the hotel. Which is amazing for taking a stroll along. The Hotel itself is a very friendly environment which welcomes everyone with a wonderful atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. You feel right at home. Staff are truly amazing, always happy to help you with all, if not most, of your needs. Food is well presented & always piping hot. Also very fresh. Mostly, if not all is home grown within the area. Drinks are poured to your requirements as you request. We would definitely highly recommend this hotel & area to anyone who wants somewhere friendly & homely to visit.

   My second stay at the Ilkley Riverside Hotel. A different room but with all the facilities, clean and nice outlook. Staff here are helpful and friendly with an offer on both stays to carry my suitcase upstairs. One of the staff members moved her car to let me park. Parking is difficult in Ilkley and the hotel offers free parking. Breakfast is excellent and beautifully cooked and presented. The restaurant is pleasant and the food including pensioner discounts provided good English fayre. The fish and chips are renowned. The outside dining by the river Wharfe exceptional. I was on the Dales Way in five minutes and in town in 10 minutes. Lovely section walking to Adddingham. Lots of interesting independent shops. In the town but away from it all. I will be back.

   A great weekend in Ilkley staying at this hotel for the first time. Excellent breakfast, lovely, friendly staff, very comfortable room and WiFi throughout the hotel which is a bonus in Ilkley. We shall use the hotel again.

   We had 4 nights last week and really enjoyed our stay with our pooch! Location is excellent as is the venue and the staff were amazing. Great place to use as a base and dog friendly. Breakfast was full English with a spare sausage for our dog! Christine and her team were amazing. Bedroom was fine. A little dated but clean and tidy. Lovely park by the hotel where you can walk the dog for miles. We will be back next year to renew acquaintances! Thank you all for a lovely break john and dawn from nantwich cheshire

   Met friends who were staying in Skipton. Their first visit to Ilkley. We had lovely walk with the 2 dogs before calling here for lunch and drinks. I'd been before and always satisfied. Today not as good experience. Good - Nice welcome and seats inside or out. Dog friendly which is always a bonus to us. We opted for seats indoors as it threatened showers outside. It felt a bit dark inside and dismal. We ordered food. 1 fish n chips which looked nice with mushy peas, I had bacon butty which was fine. The 3rd person had ordered a Yorkshire pudding. He thought he'd ordered one with roast beef and veg. When it came it was just the Yorkshire with gravy. His accent isn't from around here so must staff may have misunderstood him. We realised he'd only paid for what he got so he didn't question it. Maybe staff need to clarify what people actually ordering. Appreciate they are busy especially at lunch times. My cup of tea came but milk was sour. Admit it was fully replaced quickly. Thank you. Maybe hotel is ready for bit of upgrade as it's in idyllic location to attract tourists and regulars. The big let down today - on using the toilet facilities I would say they don't have a fresh appeal or clean smell about them. Appreciate it was busy but some fresh air in or an air freshner and a quick mop around throughout the day makes the loos more appealing and fresher. Busy place as there's outside sales too. Not sure if public toilets further along the river bank are open. Maybe hotel loos for patrons only.

   A comfortable, clean and well managed hotel. The food menu was varied and available most of the day. The staff were friendly, polite, helpful and very obliging. We would recommend it certainly for a short break.

   Went for a Sunday lunch for the first time. It is very old fashioned, plain and boring. The menu is not diverse and is more for the elderly. You can tell this establishment is owned by an older person. The menu needs updating to be more inclusive of different dietary choices. It could be a good place to eat with a good location but unfortunately their old ways let it down. I had soup which very much tasted like it was from a can and microwaved.

   We have just returned home from having a weekend stay at the riverside. Jamie went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. A man of many talents & cooks the best fish and chips we have ever experienced! Luke the bar tender was very helpful and friendly. Also the breakfast was cooked to perfection. We didn’t catch her name but the lady who served us in the morning was lovely. Would highly recommend.

   This was my first time to England and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. I woke up every morning to an amazing breakfast, then took a walk around the river. The walk into town to see all the shops takes about 10 minutes. All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and easily answered all of my questions. I will definitely stay here again.
