   My first visit with friends last night and i wasn’t disappointed. The staff were all lovely and helpful, with great banter with them which helped create a lovely atmosphere. The food was fantastic, I had the beef wellington starter and crab and prawn risotto, followed by the salted sponge and I can’t recommend enough. Good wine menu and the promesa Rioja reserva was superb. One of our group had the filet steak which I was lucky enough to try and it simply melted in the mouth ( will have this I think next time I come). Heard about the legendary Sunday dinners so will be back to try this as well.

   We ate here the other week, the entire experience was lovely. Food was fantastic with lots of options. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend eating here! Well worth a visit.

   My wife & I went to The Monk to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary & had an amazing night here. The staff made a fuss about it they went the extra mile & made the night feel special, food was excellent the flavours were bursting off the plate. Would highly recommend I’ll definitely come back here again.

   A fabulous Subday lunch of vibrant pea soup with freshly baked bread, crayfish and shrimp risotto & a fabulous creme brûlée dessert. I tried 3 delicious alcohol free cocktails. The Aperol style one was extra tasty. Absolutely love The Monk. The staff are lovely, the food is great and today’s music was especially good.

   Excellent. I've never had such a light and crispy battered monkfish dish as this. The roasts were delicious and great size. Main menu is adapted for children who were made to feel welcome. Lovely and efficient service.

   Was lucky enough to get a table here! Definitely recommend booking beforehand. We sat in the sheltered outdoor area which was so well decorated but also really warm. The staff was lovely and friendly. We had the pork shoulder Sunday roast and it was perfect, really delicious. Great decor inside, 10/10 in general. 100% would recommend
