Superb treatment by Matt I had an acute upper back sprain and found The Treatment Room. Matt is an experienced excellent sport massage and physiotherapist. He gave me the initial consultation with a clear explanation about the sprain. Sports massage was really great. I had 3 sessions (2x Cardiff and 1 x Penarth), and every time after the treatment the sprain diminished. (He also gave me 2 simple exercises to recover and to build flexibility and strength.) It used to take ages to heal and repeated sprains when I hurt muscles. And this time, the sprain has gone and fit again very quickly. Thank you so much! I highly recommend Matt and The Treatment Room. As for location for me who lives in Penarth, Penarth site is easier to get there, but Cardiff site is also not to far by car. As for appointment availability, though, Cardiff site is better (more time slots). Booking well in advance recommended for Penarth site.
Back / shoulder massage with Hannah was excellent - perfect amount of pressure and yet somehow relaxing at the same time. Making it a monthly regular appointment!
I can't recommend Ciara highly enough! From the moment I met her, I felt completely at ease. She listened carefully to my concerns, taking the time to assess my mobility and understand my needs. Her advice was clear and informative, and she even provided additional resources for me to explore. The massages themselves were also wonderful - both sessions brought significant relief from my tension. Ciara created a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, and I really enjoyed/appreciated our conversations during the appointments. I've already booked my next visit! Thanks
I've had the unfortunate experience of needing to see a lot of Physios in my life and Matt stands head and shoulders above the rest. Knowledgeable, Friendly and extremely Competent. His massage and exercise suggestions have been exceptionally powerful at reducing my pain. I've seen fantastic results and will continue to see him. If you have the opportunity to have an appointment with him, you won't regret it.

My first treatment was amazing, i wasn't expecting any improvements with only one session but changed and the pain is much better now, i will continue the treatment and the way Matt dealed with me was the best i haver had.

Me and my boyfriend have visited Matt a few times now, we travel over an hour for our appointments but Matt is definitely worth the journey! I’m currently struggling with some gestational back pain and my boyfriend a shoulder impingement and Matts knowledge and care with both of us is fantastic. He is always professional, friendly and courteous and we will continue using him for any treatments!
My massage was excellent! I left feeling relaxed with no tension in my neck and shoulders. Matt listened to everything I needed done and applied just the right amount of pressure when needed. He also advised doing at-home exercises to keep the result. I highly recommend this place for a good massage.
