Lovely pub with a warm welcome. Decent choice of drinks, reasonably priced and friendly locals. Food nicely served and a small room for hire.
Popped in for a quick drink on Saturday morning, although there were only a few people inside at the time, everyone was friendly. As well as the regular line up in pubs, they had a lot of guest beers (or at least less well known ones). I ordered a pint of Athena, and sat outside in the small garden at the rear of the pub. Quite a light beer with some hoppy taste. Lots of seating inside too and right on the main road so easy to get to!
A Great Find in the Heart of Uppingham. This is a lovely, friendly, and welcoming pub in the heart of Uppingham, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. I stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic value – a delicious, freshly made pizza for just £10. The menu offers good food at reasonable prices, making it a great spot for a drink or casual meal. The drinks selection is good with a well-chosen variety of ales, beers, and wines. My pint of ale was well kept and served. The staff are attentive, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, adding to the overall experience.
The Crown is an excellent place to stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room had been recently renovated to a high standard and was very comfortable. The bar offered a great selection of beers and wines, and the food was both delicious and reasonably priced. We stayed on a Saturday night, and the lively bar atmosphere added to the overall experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to The Crown for another stay.
Lovely traditional pub in a lovely village. Nice atmosphere in the bar with friendly staff, nice food. Rooms clean with all you need, beamed ceilings. Extremely comfortable bed, toiletries included.
This is one of the best-kept pints of Old Original I have had in a very long time! Great backing soundtrack as well.
Went into the Crown today around 4 pm for a drink. The place was freezing cold most people were sitting with coats on. The service was slow took about 10 minutes to pour 1 pint of beer and a pot of tea. The 3 girls behind the bar were eating either pot noodles or crisps. Not a good look in front of customers and not very professional for a hotel either.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming but unfortunately forgot my drink order on a date. The food was excellent, really tasty pizza and lovely presentation. Good choice of drinks too. The general feel and look of the pub is great. The chairs were a bit hard and upright for my liking though. On the whole I liked it and would return.
Fantastic stay at The Crown. Food and drink were excellent with plenty of choice. Staff were superb, really friendly and helpful. Room was really comfortable and clean, shower was awesome! Would definitely stay again.
