   COMPASSION NOT GREED Whilst this is certainly NOT a personal critisism of individual vetinary practitioners, who no doubt work hard and have thrir own personal struggles as all people do, it is a critisism of the CORPORATE private vetinary care system we are seeing in the UK today. Such an exploitative system should have no place in a civilised, modern society. The obscene amount of money that vetinary practices charge needs to be significantly curbed so that animals and humans are not held to ransom over their love and welfare concerns for their pet. As mentioned in the Guardian Newspsper, 'The prohibitive cost of some treatments can lead owners to consider euthanasia for pets with treatable conditions, a situation that is emotionally devastating'. What we ultimately need is an NHS for pets! Some troubling facts: 1.UK veterinary prices have significantly increased over the past decade, with figures showing price rises of more than 60% between 2015 and 2023. This increase is much higher than the rate of inflation and is linked to the growing corporate ownership of veterinary practices, which now account for 60% of the market 2. Six large corporate groups (IVC Evidensia, CVS, Medivet, Pets at Home, Linnaeus, and Vet Partners) now own a majority of UK vet practices. This consolidation has reduced competition, which the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is investigating. Someone somewhere is making a LOT of money whilst others are pushed into financial hardship, unable to help with their pet's suffering or else having to end a pet's life when a relatively routine operation could save them. What can I do? 1. Write to your local MP demanding sricter regulation and fair pricing 2. Write to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and complain about vetinary charges 3. Raise awareness of the issue and get others to also write to their local MP and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Together we can end unnecessary suffering caused by greed and build a better world!

   Best vet clinic we've been to by far. My dogs have had kind, caring treatment every time we've been here. Bo the vet and also the practice manager/owner have both been excellent during consults for our dogs, and the receptionists are really helpful over phone and email. No one working here looks down on you if you are on a low income like we've experienced at other clinics and they are really helpful and nonjudgemental suggesting how to save money. And it's lovely to experience all the staff being genuinely happy to see/treat your pets instead of rushed, burnt out or obligated to maximise profit like at other practices. It really helps vet visits be less stressful.

   Very friendly staff, very knowledgeable vets with a great 'bedside' manner. Resonable prices compared to other vets I've had the displeasure to use, I never feel ripped off when I go here, I've had the opposite feeling in other vets. They saw my dog when she was very ill, fitted me in within 30 minutes of me calling them, they diagnosed the issue quickly, and the meds they prescribed has given our 14 year old cocker a new lease of life.

   Went yesterday 28/03/25 and saw the new vet with my GSD Raya. Iv kept dogs since I was 18 so numerous vets visits and the lady I saw yesterday was by far the best kindest most knowledgeable and enthusiastic vet I have ever seen. She was new to the practice but didn't get her name I'm just so thankful that I feel I have left with understanding and correct treatment plans rather than popping pills and hoping for the best until another ear infection. Thank u so much and Oxford vets she's a keeper!!! ☺️☺️

   My dog was brought here as a second opinion as I wasn't happy with my original vets as I was told by them that there was nothing they could do with a lump on his ear that was continously bleeding and causing him so much pain and bother and they wanted to just leave it at that . So I brought him to Oxford house and had an amazing consultation and they was happy to operate to remove they lump . I was a little nervous as he's a older dog but the operation went well and he is now fully healed . They were amazing from start to finish so helpful and welcoming they saved his life .Would 100% recommend Oxford house.

   They are just kind and make you feel comfortable. They make a fuss of your pets and want to help and make sure they are good. Ive phoned many of time for advice and it has never been a problem to help me. Leaving an astaplished vets to a brand new was daunting but they smash it.

   Lovely staff and very friendly towards the pet/s. Nice To see one off the old staff from budget vets this lady always has a smile the vet lady I saw was so nice to my pet even offered him a bit off soft cheese to make him feel safe Oxford house please don't every change I feel happy that my pets are save in good hands
