Had a really lovely couple of nights between Christmas and New Year while visiting family. The Hotel was so festive with beautiful decorations throughout the building. The room we had was a refurbished room and it was lovely. Spacious, well appointed and quiet. The bed was really comfortable and my back loved it after my son's guestbed ! Breakfast was delicious with hot and cold buffet. All the staff we met from housekeeping, reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and professional. We will return soon.

This is a bit of a halfway spot for us to meet as a family so we booked for Sunday lunch. The hotel itself is not very well signposted and the sat nav took us wildly out of the way. However, once we arrived we were impressed with the location. The grounds are beautiful and the building itself appears to be well maintained and clean. We were seated quickly but there was a bit of a wait to order and then in receiving our food. The restaurant was quite busy though. There was a singer providing entertainment. He sang Christmas songs appropriate for the time of year and Rat Pack melodies which were very nice. Mum is disabled and the staff were very accommodating of her needs. The food was a bit pricey though very edible. I would recommend.

Came for a wedding and was very impressed. We stayed in a cheap "shoebox" room, that was in fact spacious and delightful. The bathroom was remarkable. Lots of jets in the shower and even a television in the bathroom mirror. The food at the wedding and breakfast was very good. All staff were lovely

I don't know how I found this please but I just did after hours of searching a non-chained hotel, classic British looking that has maintained its elegance, remote location and offers wonderful perks and I was lucky to find this place. We booked to celebrate our overdue wedding anniversary and our only regret is that we could have stayed one more day! The building and setting looks like one of those that appears in Downtown Abbey's series! The reception staff (despite being new) attended to us and checked us in by letting us know our room was upgraded. She was courteous and soft spoken. We requested 3 course dinner meal as part of our stay, which was fulfilled as well. Our room was gorgeous, there was a hand written note with gesture of box of chocolates, which I am thankful for. It is to welcome us on our anniversary stay. The room was rustic, classic and clean with office table and a soft with a view. The standard condiments were available such as teas and coffees but in addition there were biscuits, popcorns and crisps. Once checked in, we went out to walk around the gorgeous building and then towards Virginia Lake. We got back and went for our 3 course meal. The dining experience was slightly a let down. Both courses (starters and main) had limited options and the ones I would have gone for had extra supplement charges. So we ended up having what's offered as part of the package - I had pork chop, it was dry and had no flavour and my wife had plaice, which had £10 supplement but she too didn't enjoy it that much. Our pudding however something we both enjoyed. However, our breakfast experience compensated for the dinner experience! The spread wasn't overbearing, yet wasn't too little either. The English breakfast looked freshly cooked, there was no strained liquid on bacon (though it was a bit dry), sausages, hash browns, mushrooms looked too tempting to resist. They had freshly baked pastries as well and cold breakfast like yogurt/berries/salami/fruits etc. I would go back to this hotel just for the breakfast! It was so comforting. On this occasion, it might be a pure luck - we went on a weekend where the hotel was hosting "wedding show", so at our point of check out, the singer Frank Cognoscenti of Sinatra Tribute was performing. We spent 20-25 mins listening to Sinatra songs which was wonderfully sung by this gentlemen, who also sang My Way at my request...what a way to end our weekend away. With or without Sinatra, with or without dining experience, we would come back here again as we loved the location, the building and the hospitality of this hotel. Anyone who reads my reviews by now would note, its not just the food or the how "up market" it is but its more about little gestures that make you feel warm and cosy and want to come back again. And thats what RBH has achieved. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a place to stay near Windsor then the Royal Berkshire is a great option. The country house (Ascot) with gardens is approximately 15/20 minutes drive from the centre of Windsor. Accomodation was very good (Ascot Suite) which was very comfortable and clean. The room provided coffee making facilities, fridge, complimentary water, (still and sparkling) and a seating area. The room also offered tower fans just in case you get to warm. Guests have access to a restaurant and separate bar area with a relaxing atmosphere. Buffet Breakfast was excellent. Cereal and pastry options, including cooked option which was regularly checked ensuring fresh, hot food. Breakfast service was also very good. Would stay again in the future.

Where do I begin with Royal Berkshire Hotel? In summary, I had a birthday party organised for around 85 guests in December and it was a great decision to use them! I had a beautiful lady Le Tran support me every step of the way. She bent over back to make sure my event was organized to the way I wanted it. She was extremely polite, patient and she listened. Very important. Prior to using them, I was very nervous as I had been totally messed around with Denham Grove hotel. I'll review them later but my advice will be stay clear of Denhame Grove to avoid disappointment! Back to Royal Berkshire Hotel, on the day, staff were available to ensure everything was a success. The FOOD was Amazing! All my guests were impressed by the flavor, quality and quantity. It tasted delicious. There was a young guy (i think Anthony) who was on ground with the manager in charge to help with ensuring my event room was arranged to how I wanted it. Thank you! The bedrooms were also beautiful. Everything about this little gem of a hotel made my day so easy. Nothing seemed like too much trouble and all the staff I met were helpful and friendly. My guests took over 20 rooms in the hotel and we were able to have breakfast together. Again, there was a good selection of breakfast options and staff were able to accomodate our party size and available to support. My guest were really impressed by the hotel and their service and will highly recommend for weddings and larger events. We met one of the morning Chef (Nicky) and it was lovely for myself and a couple of my guest to chat with her. Staff look like they enjoyed working there from those on reception to the waiters. We didn't feel any form of discrimination or hostility. If I need to, I will certainty use them again in the future and will certainly plan a mini break back there. Thank you!!!

Beautiful hotel but more impressive are the gardens and the outdoor atmosphere. Some areas of the hotel could use a slight facelift but overall a pleasant place to stay of enjoy an alfresco lunch.

A really great hotel just outside Ascot...the entrance is easy to miss so drive carefully. The house, set in its own grounds, looks really nice as you pull into the carpark with mostly, if not all, rooms in an attached modern block. The public rooms, reception and bar areas are very comfortable and well appointed On arrival staff were working hard getting clients checked and we were directed to our room in the modern block. That room was spacious, quiet, well appointed and very comfortable. We had dinner in the fork restaurant. Its not cheap but the food was excellent as was breakfast Throughout our stay the staff were excellent, helpful, hsndled all thrown at them and very easy to talk to. Overall a very good hotel well worth another visit.
