Brilliant Location, friendly staff who greet you with friendly interaction, with welcoming vibes. The bed I had was very comfortable, with a nice warm hot shower. Clean ,friendly ,perfect location, 10 out of 10 for my stay.

The hotel is far from the city, which makes it very inconvenient if you’re travelling by bus or train. The passages inside the hotel are extremely narrow and the overall layout feels cramped and clumsy. The rooms are old-style, including traditional key-entry doors, which adds to the outdated feel. Even the accessible rooms are not suitable for senior citizens — you have to step into a bathtub to take a shower, which is difficult or impossible for anyone with knee or leg issues. Overall, not recommended.

Very helpful & lovely staff. I had a knee op the day before staying & I thought they had showers, but once given my room I found out I had a bath, which would be difficult to get into. I explained to the lady on Reception & she changed my room to an Accessible bathroom instead, which also was a larger room too. She was so lovely, like all their staff. Very friendly place. Would definitely recommend & will be coming back, when I visit again soon.

The hotel is nice and friendly staff but the only let downs are that the toliet sink moves off the wall and also the toliet and if you use a medical device like a cpap they don’t have normal sockets by the bed just a usb sockets and they offer a extension cord that you could trip over the room during the night and also the bedside table is really small to put things on just about managing to have your phone there during the night

Large room and no problems. Comfortable but a slight smell of previous smoker! Not that people should be smoking in there!

Great location. Reasonable rates. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bedsheets had some holes (Rm 114) Poor TV reception made watching frustrating. All in all was able to have a good night's sleep...

Perfectly happy with our visit here. We chose this location as they allowed dogs. The room were clean and spacious. Location close to town centre. Only dropped a star as the corridor was quite noisy at night when people were returning to their rooms. Sounds in hallway sounded like they were in your room. Overall good experience

As budget hotels go this is up there with the best. Great, clean, well appointed rooms and very helpful and friendly staff, particularly the receptionist who I believe may have been the manager. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The hotel is also in a great location with an indoor shopping mall literally across the road and an excellent high street only a few minutes away. All in all a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Rooms were alright - you get what you pay for. The overwhelming smell of cannabis throughout the reception area and hallways was really off-putting. The man at the desk came out to check us in wearing a big jacket with his hood up and didn't really speak much, which wasn't that welcoming.

The Truth 66 ★★☆☆☆
The best thing about this hotel is that the bed is comfortable. Staff don't acknowledge you, rooms aren't finished and have been poorly maintained and I've been up since 5am because the tramp who lives over the road in a tent is deciding to throw things, shout and move house. The town is a dive so make sure you take something to protect yourself when venturing out
