Woken up at 2am, by some industrial machine, then again at 4am, by bottles being recycled into something. No hot water at all. I had to boil kettle to have a wash and wash my hair. Just great, when I had to go to a dear friends funeral in the morning, followed by a 3 hour drive home. Don't understand why these things went on at these times in the clearly hours. Just ridiculous! Tired and stressed. Never again!

Christmas Eve Brunch '25. Impressive facade. Very historic and characterful interior. Open fires. Exposed wall and ceiling timbers. Excellent service; prompt, friendly and efficient. Well-presented and tasty food. Generous portions. Lush moccas, cappucinos, champagnes and bloody marys.

For the price: Rooms are nice, grand tall ceilings, black out blind, curtains. In room facilities include a small coffee machine as well as a kettle etc. Good size TV with a HDMI slot installed on the wall. A couple wall mounted heaters ensures you won't get cold. Shower has good pressure and good heat. Bathroom doesnt have any form of lock, just pushes open. We stayed on a Monday night where we experienced late night banging around from below. Early morning between the hours of 3 and 4 someone (another guest or live in staff? I don't know) ran up and down the stairs in what sounded like heavy boots or some other heavy shoe before an hour of loud conversations and several uses of the coffee machine which vibrated through the walls. I believe we also heard the hair dryer? In the morning we decided to get breakfast downstairs, thankfully we didnt pay in advance as they had no chef. If I were very desperate and the price was right, I would probably still hesitate before staying here again. Right in the middle of the town, short walk to the station, beautiful fireplace in the restaurant/bar.

The food was outstanding! Highly recommend the pizza, they are stone baked and covered in fresh produce. Staff were friendly and the beer was cold. Only negative is the parking, there isn't any. But that's the whole town to be honest.

We had such a lovely experience! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the meatball starter and Pucca bread they were fresh and full of flavour. The service was warm and welcoming, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. Definitely recommending the Kings Arms.

We were staying at the pub and holding a wake in The Greene Room, staff, service and food were brilliant and the Greene Room was perfect for the wake, lovely vibe (if you can apply that to a wake, it's a lovely room, let's say that!). The bathroom and shower were great and the bed was fine but really needs a headboard to protect the painted wall. A wardrobe might have been nice but we weren't there long enough to really worry about it.

Kings Arms is a great place to meet friends and colleagues. It is spacious, comfortable and accommodating. You can snack, dine or just drink. The service is excellent, very responsive and considerate. You are never hurried. On my last visit, I had one of their pizzas cooked in a wood-fired pizza oven but the menu is vast and varied. Highly recommended

Fabulous place for a drink. Food, as always, was lovely. Gorgeous roaring fire. My only complaint is if you sit near a window, it's absolutely freezing as the front ones don't shut properly. Otherwise, so nice

Nice place to go for a few cocktails and has a mix of a busy pub vibe at the front / eatery in the back. Food is fairly decent, though I think there are better places to eat in berko (if anything order pizza as these are really good) Toilets have a few busted locks which could do with being fixed, general facility cleanliness is "okay" - like you won't need to hover but you don't want to spend any longer in there than you have to. The really special thing about this place is the huge fireplace at the front, when lit it's lovely in winter
