   My colleague and I needed a place near to the airport to get an early flight the next morning and the Tri-star hotel fitted our needs perfectly. Nigel, the owner was really friendly and extremely helpful in providing tips on where to go in the evening and how to get there. (Decided on the Tap and Tandoori with a quick bud journey from the bus stop 1 min. away from the hotel. Rooms were simple but really clean. The hotel is located directly next to the airfield but as it is on the opposite side to the terminals, some transport (taxi/bus) would be needed for the 3 minute drive to the airport - I had a hire car, so it was very easy to drive to the rental return car park. My only disappointment was that my flight was too early to allow me to enjoy a breakfast there. From how the restaurant and place settings looked I am sure it would have been a very good one! Thanks for the great stay Nigel!

   Excellent little family-run hotel close to airport: not quite within walking distance but an easy bus or taxi ride away. Bus nos X1 and X12 (from airport) stop outside. Onsite restaurant provides excellent evening meals and breakfast using locally-sourced ingredients, and there's a bar. Comfortable rooms with shower facilities, and triple glazing minimises aircraft noise. Owner Nigel gives a warm welcome, and the night we stayed was ably assisted by wonderful Jane.

   We had such a wonderful experience staying at Tri-Star Hotel. The team couldn’t have been more welcoming, kind, or professional. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and stress-free, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully presented. We were staying during a particularly busy and emotional time, and the warmth and care shown by the staff made such a difference to us. It genuinely felt like a home away from home, and we’re so grateful for the extra touches and thoughtful service throughout our stay.    Lovely friendly, family run hotel near the Airport. The 3 bedded room we had was adequate, if a little tight in areas. Shower was powerful and water piping hot. Complementary kettle and tea/coffee provided. Distance from the airport was calculated as 1 mile, but this is 'as the crow flies', and there is no pedestrian road that you can walk, so a little misleading. A nearby bus stop brings you to the center of Birmingham 40 mins or the NEC 15mins.

   Just had a 2 night stay here to attend The Horse Of The Year Show at the NEC. This hotel is a perfect location with a door to door bus service to take us back and forth. The room was warm and clean with everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. Plenty of safe parking. Great value for money and would definitely stay again.
