   Went to the restaurant attached. The Halt and Pull. The hotel is under government contract accomodating undocumented dingy arrivals. Very intimidating walking through them to the restaurant. Many in the car park smoking.... very intimidating as they stand and stare. Will not return until it becomes a proper hotel again so it feels safe. Went at lunchtime in daylight, hate to think what it's like in the dark. Shame as the food and bar staff were pleasant.

   Not clean, insects, staff were requested to clean bathroom, they said ok but next day had still not done so. Agreed to cancel reservation without penalty, however 14 days later credit card hold has still not been removed after 3 phone call requests to do so. Do not stay at the four points Sheraton, you will regret it.

   Only visited the halt & pull pub for a drink. Very friendly staff. Good to see such an iconic hostelry reopened in Horley. While bar has been sympathically restored, it is still a hotel bar. Hope Horley residents are welcomed into their 'local'. Other parts of hotel look stunningly refurbished. Good luck to the new management for the future.

   Disgraceful way to treat people when returning from a red list country - I had returned from burying my mother. Rooms are VERY dark and dirty - no compassion from staff at all to move to a room with more light! Lighting inadequate for being locked up for just short of 24 hours a day - the rooms are designed with night lights - not for daytime! A deep clean is definitely not done between guest! Food and grease stains on walls. Security are unhelpful and very noisy. Constant banging of fire escape door outside my room. One reception staff was very blunt and rude. Wellness check not done every day - and even requests for water sometimes took 24 hours to arrive (if at all). We were treated worse than criminals at this hotel!! Disgusting treatment. The government and the people running these hotels should be ashamed of themselves!

   The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very cordial and accommodating. Food was always fresh and delicious and the variety offered was very good. I had my exams while I was quarantining here, such a great experience for exam revision and then attempting exams themselves. I will always come back here because the staff, Johnny in particular and all the rest of the staff, made me feel at home!
