   Disappointed is an understatement. Anton initially came across as very trusting and hardworking, carrying out jobs on my classic with no issues. However, my car went in for a few jobs including thermostat, fuel pump and fuel gage (parts supplied by me). The job cost just over £300, all things considered a decent price (not including parts). Unfortunately after taking the car away, it began misfiring severely. He attempted to fix this by putting the old pump back in, but it didn’t help. My receipt states the jobs carried out include the Thermostat, fuel pump & fuel gage, although the old pump is left in the tank & the thermostat he fitted is leaking. He continuously stated that it’s just a ‘coincidence’ that the misfiring began after he’d worked on it, when in fact the car was driving fine before he’d touched it. I’m quite disgusted with this outcome but it gets worse. His lack of communication is insane, no response or calls returned when my car is literally broken down due to his work. I spoke to citizens advise and sent a letter in an attempt for him to sort it out. He had an auto electrician he knows come out to assess the issue, requesting a further £40 from me for the callout. He said for me to get a voltage regulator which I bought myself and delivered to him, he fitted it but still didn’t fix the issue. After all these complications and problems he caused, ultimately I lost confidence in him as he didn’t prioritise my car. I saw him spending time test driving and working on other cars all while mine is damaged because of him. He had the audacity to ask for a further £110 for the electrician he called out (if there even was one) and for fitting the regulator. In the end I refused to pay, got the car home and I’m still trying to fix the issue he’s caused, costing me more money and time. Car still does not work - the only reason I’m in this situation is because of you. 54 years of experience yet you can’t fix a problem you caused. Look at the rest of your reviews. Unpaid bill ? What was I paying for, cars still broken. Im gonna leave it here, I’m not trying to slander, just giving my experience.

   After 6 years of taking our cars into Du Croq-Slip, I would highly recommend them. Always the most courteous, friendly and professional service, and it's so valuable to take your car into somewhere that you trust completely. I will miss them now that we are moving out of the area, and hope I can find somewhere as good at the next place.

   Great service from start to finish! I took my Singer to Anton as a non starter with fuel system issues, as well as requiring general maintenance to the brakes and a service needed. All the work was completed within a week and now the car runs beautifully and is back in my garage where it belongs. Really happy with the work and communication from Anton and the price was extremely reasonable given the size of the work carried out list. Hopefully we'll have many trouble free miles ahead but should any further work need doing, I'll definitely bring the car back here.

   Don't leave reviews often but after a long time thinking about it ,and now finding brand new fitting that were bought and delivered to Du Croa-slip for my son's car were never fitted? Second hand lights used instead of very expensive brand new items. Also the guy is arrogant and ignorant. Started a £400 welding job ended well over 2k with no phone calls. Bought parts with out contact also mot'd car with out asking. If you go to complain him and his dad gang up on you. I personally would never use again or let anyone I know have the same experience. You have been warned! Robert Griffiths I stand by every word above I run my own business of 31 years and would never treat or talk to my customers as I was by DJ Croq-Slip. I arranged for a local bodywork guy to view car at your premises to quote for work even he commented on the discracfull attitude he was welcomed with. I honestly think you treated my son's car with complete contempt. Anyone looking to have work carried out should look elsewhere there are now so really good people in Cardiff doing top quality workmanship body and soul are very good DG classics are also highly recommended

   REPLY TO ROBERT GRIFFITHS - You have made serious allegations about a job done Oct-Dec 2015! Reference brand new fittings bought by you and never fitted - All you supplied to us were fitted. THE ONLY ITEMS WE SUPPLIED were petrol, a battery, anti roll bar bushes a pair of horns and a handbrake cable, amounting to £34.05 We did not supply any second hand parts As far as being arrogant and ignorant - Not wishing to be rude, but the boot was on the other foot. The £400 welding job was a QUOTE ONLY before we started. This was only for fabricating o/s sill & foot well enclosure. Once started, we spoke, and the job extended. Your reference to the job ending well over 2k - your bills actually amounted to £1,811.61 plus VAT £362.32 = £2,1739.32 which were presented in 3 Invoices as we went along, on 3 different occasions 3-4 weeks apart. As for no phone calls - We made regular contact throughout. Reference to buying parts without any contact - You were contacted and you brought along your own parts, which were a 2nd fibre glass wing to match the one that came (un-fitted) with the car, you also supplied front side/indicators, as it was currently fitted with caravan/trailer lights. During regular contact you agreed to the MOT. You are not exactly someone who can be ‘ganged up on’ yours is a very inaccurate interpretation of our honest and somewhat frustrating (for us) explanation to you.
