I honestly cannot recommend these jewellers enough! This was my second time using Neil Rayment (the first was for a bracelet), and both experiences have been exceptional. I wanted to create a necklace pendant from scratch as a gift. Even though I only provided a few very rough sketches and a concept, Elan was there from start to finish. They guided me through the entire process and offered amazing suggestions that I never would have considered. The team executed the vision better than I could have ever hoped for. The final design is exactly what I wanted, the craftsmanship is excellent, and the pendant is incredibly detailed and perfect. I still can't stop smiling over how much I love it! The communication, suggestions, and final product are always top-tier.

Neil and his team provide a 5 star service in every way. I have been using Neil for repairs to jewellery for around 5 years now. He is exceedingly experienced, exceptionally helpful, most efficient and very good value. He is also makes very beautiful jewellery and can do this from 'an idea' or he can use existing jewellery to make something very special. All in all a superb service and I cannot recommend Neil highly enough.

I’m absolutely delighted with my experience at Neil Rayment Jewellery. I got in touch to ask a few questions about making changes to my engagement ring, and when I popped in, Neil was so friendly and helpful. He guided me through the best options for the changes I wanted and also agreed to fix a bracelet I’d been meaning to have repaired for ages. When I went back a week later to collect my pieces, I was blown away, I love them even more now than I did before! I didn’t think I could love my engagement ring any more, but I can’t stop looking at it. Highly recommend Neil Rayment Jewellery!

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible work you did in designing my dad's ashes ring. After losing my dad last year, I was looking for a personal and meaningful way to remember him, and you truly exceeded all my expectations. The ring you created is not just a beautiful piece of jewellery; it is a precious tribute to my dad. Incorporating his hair and ash into the design, and using the gold from his bracelet for the ring band was such a thoughtful touch. Additionally, your suggestion to use emeralds around the base of the ring to symbolize his birthstone and the month he passed was simply perfect. When you contacted me to show the crystal opal that would be laid on top of the ashes set in resin, I knew instantly that it was exactly what I was looking for. Your kindness, compassion, and a bit of humour throughout the design process made the experience truly special. You were so sensitive to my feelings, taking pictures throughout the entire build of the ring so that I could see the ashes being set. The tribute photo you took in your workshop with the ring, an urn, and the picture I had given you was a wonderful gesture that I will cherish forever. Thank you once again, Neil, for creating such a beautiful and meaningful piece that will always remind me of my very special dad.

Today, I had the pleasure of picking up two exquisite pieces of commissioned jewelry from Neil. The remodelled necklace, a heartfelt tribute to my mother, draws inspiration from her love of gardening and Tolkien. Paired with it is an eternity ring, a unique gift from my husband, featuring a one-of-a-kind combination of peridot and amethyst, crafted to complement my wedding and engagement rings perfectly. Each piece holds a profound and sentimental value, making them exceptionally precious to me. Neil's craftsmanship and keen understanding of our preferences shine through in these beautiful and bespoke creations. Walking into Neil's shop was a chance encounter that I am truly grateful for. The entire process, unexpectedly easy, reflects Neil's artistry and workmanship, as he skillfully translated my emotions into a piece of art. Notably, the entire process was surprisingly affordable, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering this to have a chat with Neil. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

It was easy to talk to Neil and discuss what I was wanting to do with the rings I had inherited. Neil did a brilliant bespoke design making 3 rings into one - now a dazzling ring. The other rings needed repairs and resizing but Neil also suggested some changes to one ring so it could be worn as a pair with another. Everything now looks sparkling new and I have a selection of lovely rings to wear. Neil gives his time to you and delivers a beautiful product.

Fantastic service from Neil, and an absolutely perfect engagement ring! Neil has helped me create over several months a custom designed engagement ring, which he has executed flawlessly. Right from the start, Neil talked me through the design process, listened to my ideas, and helped me figure out and realise what I was looking for in an engagement ring. The process was transparent and easy throughout, and Neil was always happy to answer questions or explain aspects of the design and production processes. He presented a great range of stones, with full background information on each of them, and was able to deliver the ring right on time even during postal strikes and unforeseen delays in assaying. Both my fiancΓ©e and I couldn't be happier with the result - thank you so much, Neil!

I contacted Neil around 18 months ago when I was first thinking about proposing to my other half. I sent a vague message through where it was abundantly clear that I didn’t know the first thing about jewellery and would need a helping hand through the process. Neil invited me to the shop to discuss it further and talked me through the various options. I knew that my partner would want an input into whatever she was going to wear on her hand, but at the same time I wanted the proposal to come as a surprise. Neil was able to put my mind at ease and offer a solution. He sourced a suitable stone for me (at quite short notice) which I took away with me to use when popping the question. Thankfully it was a yes, so we were then both invited back for a design session when we discussed the possibilities and Neil was able to start to put some sketches together based on that chat. We returned some weeks later to select from the stones he had been able to secure and confirmed the final design, leaving Neil to create our bespoke piece. This was followed some months later with some more designing as we followed the same process for each of our wedding bands. We have ended up with three fantastic rings, which have exactly met the requirements with which we started the process. The satisfaction with them is heightened by the sense of involvement which we were both able to have throughout the whole process. Neil is a great communicator, both quick to reply to messages and excellent at explaining the processes and intricacies involved with jewellery design. He listened to our requests and came up with perfect pieces to meet the brief. In all honesty I couldn’t recommend him highly enough for anybody who is looking to go down a similar route to secure some special and unique pieces of jewellery.

I couldn’t be more delighted to receive my new ring from Neil. It was re-designed from a treasured but unused piece of jewellery, which had been tucked away for many years unworn. His thoughtful suggestions and patience resulted in creating an exquisite bespoke piece which I will continue to treasure but can now enjoy wearing daily. He is hugely talented and personable. I highly recommend him. Thank you Neil.

If I could give no stars I would. Unfortunately my experience with Neil Rayment Goldsmiths has been appalling. I went to Neil with a request to lift the collet in my platinum engagement ring so that the diamond could sit neatly next to a traditional shaped wedding band, to which Neil said was an easy alteration. We had a thorough consultation and Neil drew up a design for the new collet which i was happy with. However, on picking up the ring, it was nothing like we discussed and agreed and it was way too high. I explained i wasn’t happy with the final result and it went back in for a second alteration, again we discussed in detail the look I wanted. On picking up the ring after the second alteration, again it was nothing like we discussed, the finish was poor and uneven, and there was a crack in two of the claws making it unsafe to wear. And to top it off he charged me again which I have since been advised is against my consumer rights. I have explained my dissatisfaction to Neil who accepts no liability for the poor work, and after many communications through his solicitor, he would only offer to make me a new ring of a design of his choosing (no negotiation) which was completely different to my ring and one I didn’t like, this was also on the basis he could have my current ring to recycle. My ring is not safe to wear and after advice from several jewellers I have been told the metal is brittle and I'd be best placed to buy a new setting. I have requested only a refund for the work he did on my setting which was Β£550 (and wouldn’t even cover the cost of a new setting) but through his solicitor he has point blank refused. Neil Rayment Goldsmiths over promises, under delivers and when things go wrong takes no responsibility. Please see photos of my ring to see how bad my ring looks and the poor state it is in. If you look there is a bad crack on the left claw in the one image and then there is a magnified image of a crack in a second claw. I have also attached a picture after the first alteration where you can see how high it is and the strange vertical bar in the middle and the uneven and messy cut outs in the metal.. I am devastated and wish I had never gone to this goldsmiths.
