Been here a few times over the years. Its always been a good place for a walk. On the last visit we had a coffee in the harbour cafe and found the drinks to be good value for money. The only down side is the car park charges which are a bit pricey. We did consider a boat trip but this like the car park was expensive.

Nice place to have a walk/take the kids/dog. Loads to do with the aqua park, boat rides, cafes etc.

Perfect place for short getaway in nature. Loads of space for a picnic - shaded and with direct sunlight , nice walking paths

Lovely facility. Well kept and very neat. Lots of space for picnicing, has a life guarded rocky beach for 'wild' swimming, has a play ground, sand pit. Has loos and catering on site. Rather too much litter left behind by visitors however - sad.

Jewel of England. Beautiful place, well worth a visit. There is plenty of parking in numerous car parks. Price are currently £2 per hour upto £16. Lots of different things to do, including: Walking/hiking, fishing, boat trips, mini golf. There's also a water park, although when we visited it wasn't open. Maybe worth checking if that's what you are visiting for. There's also barbecue stands for disposable bbq's. Plenty of places for refreshments including cafes. Toilets are free to use(rare in this country these days) and includes toilets for customers with disabilities. I would also say, if you want a bit of piece and quite, don't go at the weekend.

A lovely place for a day out. Great place for water sports, walking, great bike trail. It has bikes for hire, boat trip, play area for kids, cafe, toilets. Unfortunately carpark closes at 5 oclock.

Great place to relax and BBQ. Please note that there a tiny zoo here as well. You can buy simple food here, lollies, chips, coffee. Nothing fancy. Great sand pits for kids.

These three stars are given for the area, the two stars missing are not given because of the way the actual beach looks and feels like. A very thin lane of sand, a lot of pointy rocks near and in the water that make going in a real adventure. You can have a nice time out with family and kids but, it could be better. I would pay a fee to get in, if the beach would look more like a beach.

Great for water sports, brilliant aqua park for kids and big kids, perfect for walking and cycling. Cafes are ok and the one thing that impressed me most.....plenty of bins so no excuse to leave any litter.
