   It took me a while to decide whether to write this review or let it go but I have to for the sake of other pets and their owners. I took my dogs to get their first full service, they are just puppies. After 50 minutes I go to pick them up and a girl asks me to cancel first before I see them, she tells me I have to pay £10 extra for each one (for some nonsensical reason) to which I said no problem and I would pay. She goes in to pick them up and after 5 minutes she lets my dogs out and walks out closing the door, as soon as I saw them I said "how ugly" but I put them back on and walked out (I thought it was very rude but I figured she must be very busy) on the way home I noticed the haircut was very uneven, one of them had shaved back legs and the other didn't. When I got home my daughter checked them out and found a big cut under one of their eyes bleeding, I was really upset, when I checked them out I saw that the hair on their ears hadn't been trimmed and they hadn't been cleaned either, one of them had several nails left uncut and their faces were dirty. I could go on telling you all the things that were wrong but the worst thing is that my neighbours in Cheam had warned me not to take them to Scamps but I took them as it was very close to my house and it was convenient. I think anyone who loves their pets should avoid taking them to this place.

   A recent bad experience I'm afraid. We've been using Scamps for about 6 months or so. So about 4 grooms. Mainly okay although not quite even allover. Had an appointment for Saturday, turned up and the groomers was closed, sign on door stating due to staff illness. No effort to communicate to customers who (us) had long standing appointment since November. I left messages on landlines and mobile, 3 days later still no communication. I'm trying to call now but no answer still. Such a disappointment, thought we had found a reliable, small business we could use and support. They were more affordable than pets at home. May now have to look elsewhere again.

   Called Scamps at 10.30am as we had been let down for Fudge's groom and they told us to bring him down for 12pm... We couldn't be happier, they were very helpful and professional and our boy looks AMAZING!!! Will definitely recommend and use again.

   Really great experience! Took my 12 year old Chihuahua who isn't keen on being groomed and left her with Scamps for just over an hour. Came back to pick up an immaculately groomed happy girl. Definitely returning! Edit: returned with both dogs this time. Super speedy and friendly service. Both dogs happy. Highly recommend!

   WORST GROOMERS I have ever been to. Booked in for a full groom. They came back not brushed properly they still had some matts. Their eyes weren’t cleaned properly and still dirty. Fur was unevenly cut looked awful. They even cut one of them and didn’t bother to tell me and I only noticed when I got home. They never rang to tell me they were finished and then called to complain that I was late to pick them up. Will never be coming back. They looked worse then when they went in, what a waste of money. I feel sorry that I even let them go here in the first place. AVOID!

   Just back from Scamps where my 2 cocker spaniels were groomed for the first time. Wow! I can’t compliment the salon enough. I explained the issues one of them has with reactivity and fear of being groomed, which was taken on board. I arrived back an hour and a half later to two immaculately groomed and happy dogs. The ladies had spent time with my reactive dog, getting to know him and making him comfortable before any treatment started and it worked a treat. They love him and he loves them! Many, many thanks Scamps - see you in a couple of months.

   I had both my dogs at Scamps yesterday. They went in as dirty beasts and came out as gentlemen! The staff at Scamps took wonderful care of them and also gave them one bow each on their collars. I will most certainly be coming back in a few months. Many thanks to the Scamps team!
