My flat had a small single box room that was empty of furniture, but needed a carpet fitting. There was no need for underlay or gripper. We also had a pull cord light switch that needed replacing and a tap that needed tightening. The guy came and immediately called saying he needed to get someone to help him and it would cost extra. We had a tenant moving in the next day, so at that short notice had no choice. The job took them both 3 hrs (we were charged for 5hrs to cover the extra person) and were charged £610! The room is barely 3x2m. It was a good job, but very excessively priced if the professional takes too long and you get billed for it.
