   Our dog got cut during her groom and we were not informed about it. When we finally noticed we called the groomer and asked for explanation. The groomer offered to apply some antiseptic and discount for the next groom, however she did not remember cutting our dog and kept on saying 'maybe she had a mat' and 'if I noticed I would've told you'. Little consideration was given to the actual event and when we asked for partial refund as we don't want to use their services again, the head office did not seem to be bothered either and said that 'the groomer told us you were satisfied with discount for next appointment', which we never asked for or agreed on. Our dog was clearly uncomfortable with the area for number of days and we unknowingly took her out to play in water and mud on the day that she had a groom. She might've gotten an infection and all it would've taken for them is to be transparent and to tell us that she got hurt. With how big the area was it would be impossible for them not to notice when it happened.

   Everytime I visit the groom room all the staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and sweet with my dog. Their grooms are topnotch and the only thing letting them down is their booking system which sometimes slots the wrong times in and they have to move you. Not the staffs fault. Highly recommend

   We booked in our 8 year old American Akita online, found an appointment for the next day for wash and dry - we were apprehensive as a few other independents had declined our booking whether because of breed or otherwise. The staff at Groom Room were excellent - our dog has never looked better! Many thanks

   Booked appointment 12 weeks in advance! Arrived on day no appointment found had card to prove confirmed booking offered appointment in another 12 weeks Place is tan by rude kids!! AVOID AVOID AVOID

   Very disappointed. I tried to book by phoning, left a message and asked for someone to call me back. No one did. I then had to book online. Two week wait. We have a standard poodle puppy. Standard Poodles need regular grooming every 6 to 8 weeks as their hair grows constantly. Without this regular clipping their hair can become very matted and that can bring health hazards. Whilst her hair is still long I brush her daily and trim her face and paws fortnightly myself. I do not have the equipment (table, big enough clippers etc) to do her whole coat. Only when we arrived did the girl at the Groom Room tell us that they would clip her at all until she is 6 months old. (A 3 month wait). When I left my phone message I had specifically said that she was a puppy. We have had to tackle her coat with a beard trimmer. She thought it was great fun. I'm not looking for a more responsive groomer who can help us in future.

   My cockapoo had a smashing groom here. The team asked lots of good questions about the kind of cut required, including what activities the dog did, etc. to make sure she got the right cut. My dog was so happy when I collected her she clearly enjoyed the pamper. Staff were all friendly and clearly love what they do.

   On booking the groom I found that member of staff unfriendly . Made me feel a bit uneasy about how they may be with my pet. On collection after groom it was a different member of staff . They were much better . Welcoming and freindly. Gave feed back on how my pet had got on with their 1st groom. I'm choosing to use a local independent groomer for continuity of groom and good customer service.
