Always so good with the cats, they even have a cats only clinic now. Very patient and kind. All members of staff are lovely and they were so supportive when we were trying to get out pets weight down. Highly recommend.

A Caring and Professional Team at Rowe Vets – Yate I’ve had consistently positive experiences with Rowe Vets in Yate. The veterinary team is knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely committed to animal welfare. Whether it’s a routine check-up or an emergency, they’ve always treated my pets with kindness and care. You can tell they love what they do. The practice is well-organized, and appointments run smoothly. I’ve appreciated how clearly the vets explain treatment options and next steps—it’s reassuring to feel informed and involved. The reception staff are generally helpful and polite, and the environment is clean and welcoming. While costs can be on the higher side, I’ve found the quality of care justifies it. It’s worth it to know your pet is in safe hands. I’d recommend Rowe Yate to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and caring veterinary service.

Vets are lovely, receptionists are too. Shocking how it’s run. My dog has been very poorly for over a month now, he’s had a bad tummy and lost lots of weight in a short space of time. Paid over £200 to have stool samples tested. I called in to the practice to weight my dog on Tuesday, just to use the scales. I asked if the results from the samples were in and I was told yes, someone would call. Wednesday afternoon still no call so I called back, eager to know the results and get him on some medication to make him better! I was told that only the vet who saw me could give me the results, that she wasn’t in until Friday, and they’d leave her a message. All other vets were in clinics and I’d have to wait. Friday came, I left it until 4pm, no call. Chased up vets and all they said was they’d leave her another message to call and go through results. I’m surprised and saddened that if only a certain vet is allowed to give the results, why is time not allocated out of clinics to call and update us . At the end of the day, we have a poorly dog, who we are very concerned about, who we want better. The results came in 5 days ago (Saturday now!) and no one has called us or been available to let us know what’s wrong. If the sample is clear we have been told we need blood tests. Is 5 days of doing nothing not overkill when we could be getting on with getting him better? Let alone the fact that we have paid over £350 and we currently have nothing in return for this cost.i was Told by the vet that it would cost £100 for samples, when I dropped them back in after collecting them for three days, I was told it was £220 to send them off. Leaving me in a very awkward position at the counter with two young children and other people watching. Feel like no one cares about him or us.

Untransparent pricing, interested in maximising profits for practice rather than the most econmic route for the owner. I have never had an appointment run to time normally waiting 20 mins+ to be seen, not ideal when working. Receptionist staff attempted to threaten me on my last visit for being 15 minutes late, when I was in the queue before my appointment time started, then deliberately made me wait 10 mins to be seen. I have put up with this practice for almost 5 years but have had enough I will be moving to a different practice. But thats what they rely on, people not wnating to bother with the effort of changing practices. The clinical and emergency care is fine and is probably as good as anywhere else but as it is owned by a large corporation, it's the non-functional areas where they fail which encourages customers back where it falls by the wayside.

Being our first visit to this vets both myself and Teddie were a tad anxious. However there was no issues at all. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The seating area has been well thought out and everything was well organised. Teddies first trip to the vets was very pleasant making it easier for our next trip. He was totally relaxed 8n the car going home.

Me and my mum have used rowe vets for 23years and counting, weve never had any issues. all the staff are lovely and friendly and know what there on about all my dogs have enjoyed going to the vets, they really get excited about it. But what gives these guys 5 stars for me is how they handled everything when we had to say goodbye to our old girly in March, the staff were amazing I mean really brilliant, they made poppy a bed so she was comfortable and they didn't rush us at all, they went over all the options in detail so we could really make the best choice, told us not to worry about money that day and worry about it another time, we must of been sat in there nearly 2 hours sharing memories about poppy and so on, the staff seriously made it as easy as possible for us, we can't thank you enough for everything you did that day and for helping us fill out the paperwork as we was such a mess we could barely pick up the pen. Il always go to rowe ❤️

I was unhappy with the timekeeping, although I was given a 9.30 appointment, I was kept waiting for half an hour whist my cat's breathing difficulties were exasperated by having to be in the waiting room with the dogs. My cat's problems stemmed from a small abscess, which was lanced but didn't warrant any stitches, kept waiting again when I was supposed to collect at 4pm and charged over £670, It makes me wonder if they also treat Vultures?
