My cat, Leo, was seen very quickly, treated so professionally and clearly his well being was the priority. Thank you Clockhouse Stroud. Highly recommend both locations and have taken my pets to the smaller Nailsworth branch and Stroud Main veterinary Hospital. Run by, and for animal lovers in general.
Terrible prices for medication and external prescriptions which are critical factors for my epileptic dog. Would have cost literally three times what I paid at my previous vets: "£40.00 per prescription (1st) and then £28.00 per prescription (2nd+)" Other vets was £20 for prescription + £3 per extra item. "We are only able to prescribe one medication per prescription, the prescription can be repeatable (medication dependant)" Other vet could issue three. This is just a cash grab, will be registering elsewhere.
To all members of staff, thank you for your kindness when I brought in little Boo, who we unfortunately had to put down. The card you sent was so thoughtful and was a lovely touch after such compassionate treatment and professionalism on a day that I was dealing with such a shock. Many thanks from the Robinson family.
During a stressful experience, we can't thank the whole team enough for their, time understanding and support from the moment we made the call about our injured cat, arriving for consultation, to the surgery, through to collecting one of our beautiful moggies after requiring treatment. You must be very proud to work as such a great team. He has had a good night's sleep and well on the road to recovery. Ps...the cat nip spray I purchased is working a treat! Thank you so much :)
Cannot get over the comfort and warmth of the team from reception through to the vets themselves. Excellent service and a credit to the industry not just clockhouse! We joined them after we had a poor experience elsewhere with out older dog, they saved us potentially £1000's in unnecessary examinations. We have returned with our new puppy and again we're overwhelmed by their support and care!
An exceptionally kind, generous, reassuring and caring vet practice. The team here have been consistently supportive and sympathetic to both my pets and to me when my cats/ kittens have been ill. I moved to Stroud recently from London and was concerned my cats wouldn't have access to the kind of care and availability of vet attention in Stroud that they had with the range of options in London, but Clockhouse vets have gone above and beyond with helping me and making sure my cats stay in the best health and recover fully when sick. I'm especially grateful to all the vets, nurses and reception team for their generosity with their time and attention to follow up calls, and so thankful for how kind and calming they have been with me. Everyone I've spoken to here demonstrates they are as kind and supportive to humans as they are to their other animals! I wish I could find a GP for myself like this vets. Thank you Clockhouse vets!
Used this vet for different pets for different reasons, and each time, we were warmly welcomed. The area is always clean and provided a space away from everyone the day we had to come and put one of the pets down. The waiting space is thoughtful of others and creates a chill space for waiting times. The reception staff are very helpful and very polite.
On occasions we found several members of staff unhelpful. some of vets were helpful and provided useful information some useless. The veterinary nurses however were often unable to provide answers to questions or unable to take weight/measurements. We had a problem dog that has cost massive money at clock house when a simple prescription of steroids Fixed everything, and give are dog a quality of life! we have moved to a small local run one which i must say were shocked on all tests that were done and nothing resolved. Clockhouse since selling to IVC aka the mafia of vets Have gone so far downhill it's really upsetting, and my guess is that why some of good vets have left Having now transferred to a new vet practice I can see a difference in both the level of care and detail the new veterinary nurses go to, not only providing great care for our dog but they are also sympathetic in their responses. Giving clear detailed explanations to questions. Something that sadly we did not receive at Clockhouse. Overall, I would not recommend using Clockhouse. There are much better options out there. so please do look around !!!
Great care shown to my old cat during a "quality of life assessment ", and to me. Hope for a while with my animal yet. A few months on, and today I took my beloved cat to Clockhouse for the final time. A candle was lit in reception to ask for quiet as there was an imminent loss, very beautiful. All the staff were incredibly kind and respectful, and, for me at least, my pet's passing in their caring hands was made as compassionate and peaceful as possible. Although I'm very sad, I take something very fulfilling from his death...I was given the option of donating his body to veterinary science, and I can believe that he will help one vet, one animal, one animal owner in the future. It is an option I would recommend, as a positive ripple from something deeply upsetting. Thank you so much to Clockhouse for such care and gentle respect. I'm adding the last picture taken at home...RIP my old friend.
