Not even worth 1 Star, absolutely disgusting treatment received. They made a catalogue of errors Axe Valley Vets, Blackford branch misdiagnosed my young cat's symptoms and left her untreated. Axe Valley Vets Blackford misdiagnosed my cat's symptoms multiple times, left her untreated, and in the space of a 5 minute conversation told me that she had terminal Cancer, that all that was available was Metacam pain medication, and that was eventually going to stop working, and she would suffer and I would have to make the decision to put her down. We refered her to Langfords Hospital, who, (AT THAT POINT WITHOUT EVEN SEEING HER) looked at her test results from Axe Valley, and said that we don't agree with this diagnosis, based on the results, her age, the fact that that type of Cancer is extremely rare, etc etc. They diagnosed a routine, common medical issue and was treated and eventually made a full recovery. Axe Valley charged me an extortionate fee for sending urine away for analysis, after giving her a course of antiobiotics, so an utterly pointless waste of time and expense and delaying her treatment further. They missed so much evidence on all of her tests, misdiagnosed all her symptoms. She had had a full Ultrasound investigation. I am sure that the errors that I have been made aware of are only the tip of the iceburg. Axe Valley treated me appaulingly. The head receptionist Dawn, spoke to me in an extremely rude and arrogant manner, and her and her colleague were whispering and discussing me in a negative way, fully within my earshot, as I waited to collect my cat. And as I waited, I witnessed extremely unprofessional behaviour in the reception area between Dawn, other staff, denegrating the vets, complaining about their workloads in front of a waiting room of clients. I wrote to them to complain, and they didn't even reply to me. I then took my complaint to the Vet Mediation Service and eventually I received an apology, but it didn't hold much weight to me for the huge distress they had caused me and my family. For a week, I believed my cat was going to suffer and die and in the way that I was told, I will simply never get over it. Axe Valley are only concerned with profits, their attitude stinks, quite frankly. I wouldn't trust them with the welfare of a Dustmite. Please, if you have a choice, go to Langfords Vet Practice or Langfords Referal Hospital, as I started at. They truly care about animals, their vets are highly competent, and they ALSO treat their clients with respect.

quickly got appointment, a short wait on arrival but very well explained. first time meeting this vet but took time to question dogs symptoms and explained options and treatments available. As advised dog was much better within an hour of treatment although advised that at her age treatment would now be for remainder of her life. Have used this and other site practices before and have found all their vets and staff extremely knowledgable, helpful and friendly.

We’re away on holiday in Cheddar. Molly, our miniature labradoodle was looking like she had an eye infection. Spoke to a lovely receptionist, who made us an appointment. She and the vet were lovely. Very friendly and helpful. Poor Molly has a corneal ulcer, but now looks much more comfortable following pain killer and eyedrops.

I am both extremely grateful and happy by the service I have received from Axe Valley Vets, Sheldon despite still having a long way to come seems to be doing a lot better than what he was. Not many vets handle Tortoises with as much love as these guys did! So to all the people who are looking after my sweet little buddy! Thank you! and of course Special Thanks to Paige for her love and support!

Axe Valley Vets are excellent. Their care and compassion and professionalism is second to none. We could highly recommend them to other pet owners. They have looked after us and our dogs, cats and ponies since 1996.

AMAZING! I was looking after my sister's puppy whilst she was away on holiday when Pika became sick. I took her to see Dave at Axe Valley Vets, who was so kind and friendly. He kept her in for the day and monitored her and did what vets do! She came home for the night and spent the next day back on her drip. The nurses were the most dog-loving bunch of gals I've ever met. So I would just like to say a MASSIVE thank you for looking after her and making her better. And thank you especially to Dave, Emily, Sarah and Liz
