Amazing new management which has really brightened the place up! I came here with my family to see what it was like and we'll definitely be coming back here!! Lovley staff, delicious food, beautiful pub

We went and had supper as a family. The Amberley Inn is under new management with the same lovely staff. We had a fab time, enjoyed a roaring fire, great selection of beer and I had a Woodchester Valley rose. Food was good - we had starters and mains. Looking forward to returning

Don't like to do negative reviews but we have stayed in many many hotels and I think this has to be down at the bottom. The room was small which we sort of expected with sloping roof, but we didn't expect damp and mould on the ceiling and around the window. (see pics). We were in a building not in the main part of the hotel which involved leaving the building and heading outside to a tired not sure if you would call it a cottage divided up. The bathroom was badly laid out, and to have a shower you had to crouch or kneel in the bath. The toilet faced a radiator which had no controls so was boiling hot near your knees. The pressure in the hot tap on the sink was non existent. It said there were toiletries, there was one bar of soap and 2 shampoo/conditioner no shower gel or bath soak. Breakfast was ok if you wanted full English, sausage was very good, but ketchup was satchets snd bizarrely you had on your plate one salt and one pepper both very small satchets. Croissants were on the menu, but they didn't have any. Cereal range was ok, brown and white bread ok, jam not great, coffee ok. Best thing about this hotel....the towels were fabulous, the rest left a lot to be desired. Sad but true.

Didn’t stay in the hotel but had a very delicious lunch in the restaurant. An incredible range of gluten free options, was a real find for a coeliac. Then had a drink in a very pretty, secluded garden. Lovely staff too

We loved our stay at the Amberly inn, full of character and history. Staff were so friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and service great, we look forward to returning again in September.

Lunch was delicious, with beautifully cooked beef, pink as it should be :) The dining room was a bit chilly.

Lovely location, nothing too much trouble for the whole team, awesome breakfast. Could think of nothing I could want that wasn't on the menu. Fresh fruit, cereal, dried fruits and nuts, croissants, cold meats and cheese, yoghurt, fruit juice, freshly cooked to order bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns fried bread toast tea and filter coffee. Room warm and comfortable with really comfy bed. Just really great stay. Thank you

Beautiful location with good parking. Room 24: located in a little outbuilding, on the 2nd floor of the building, very narrow staircase so I wouldn't recommend bringing big suitcases. Room had Very good heating. However, I found the Room quite dated. Hot tap had come away from sink fitting so was moving about a lot, quite a few cracked floor tiles in the bathroom a couple a little wobbly. Quite a few cobwebs, and some hairs on the floor of bathroom when we arrived. Big TV but barely any TV signal at all. No phone in room. Went down to reception to address both and the lad who was initially very welcoming, shrugged his shoulders and said "oh, sorry" and went back to his computer.. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choices. Dinner was also very good, I had the seafood casserole, and would definitely recommend this. Overall, the stay was OK, and at least a bed for a couple of nights.

Beautiful position with lovely views. Very friendly helpful staff. Very nice breakfast and evening meal . Rooms a little tired could do with some repainting on stairwell and bedrooms.
