   A wonderful night stay to break our journey to Cornwall. Beautiful location, comfy rooms and thoughtful touches like milk in the fridge and condiments for breakfast (which was excellent too!) thanks farmer Mike for a great stay. I’d definitely stay again if i was in the area

   A beautiful setting on a farm. It was so lovely to have a whole little cottage with a kitchen to ourselves! Breakfast was brought to our door in the morning and was delicious. It needs a couple of tweaks and updating, but we'd definitely stay here again.

   We had more than enough space for our family of 5, and there was a wood fire prepped and ready to be lit when we arrived in the evening. The cottage itself is well kept and clean, with all the modern conveniences you would want, while still retaining the charming appeal of a historic cottage. Cannot recommend enough!

   Beautifully peaceful and serene location and a lovely period property. The layout is slightly odd, only if there's more than two couples though, due to access to bathrooms so clarify with the owner.

   We stayed in Stable Cottage which was lovely, breakfast served to the door. At least a 10 minutes drive away from the nearest pub/restaurant so good to have self catering facilities. Overall a good place to stay.

   Looks really nice inside and would definitely have given more stars if all the windows could be shut. Unfortunately some were just too stiff with age or wet weather damage to close, which resulted in several flies indoors which isn't ideal especially when preparing food. Signage near road also needs upgrading as very hard to spot Battens Farm at the moment. I see from earlier reviews that this has been suggested by a number of previous guests. Blinds or net curtains would help with privacy as windows look straight onto working stable yard, although it's nice to see the horses popping their heads out of the stable doors! Would be a really fantastic little cottage with a bit of updating. Host leaves good range of bread, butter, marmalade and pastries, plus milk & juice. Cooked breakfast is very nice too.

   Lovely little cottage on a farm. The view of the window is of the stable block and fields. Jo, who runs it, brings an excellent breakfast in the morning. The rooms are more of an apartment with a living area with kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen has enough equipment to be able to cook a meal Overall a lovely place that may well be on my list of lodgings to use again
