Charged £4 AGAIN for a no show even though I scanned my membership card and it makes the bleeping noise to acknowledge it. While I am paying a membership fee every month, I see countless people just walking in without scanning a card or speaking to a member of staff. Maybe I should cancel my membership and just get in for free like everyone else seems to.
Got kicked out mid gym session as they were closing early, the online opening times don’t match what they are doing
Place is dirty and grim, toilets out of action for weeks, changing room flooded and I would not go anywhere near the pool. But it's free as I found out being a rare idiot who pays to go. The gym is open to anyone with no checks on membership so oddly often full and you cannot use anything as it's become a playground of time wasters and kids messing around. Joke. Complained before but wasting my time and money but they don't care
Today while i was taking a shower i notice( besides a weird smell before entering ) some poop on the floor. I think the prices can go lower now. Update: been next day to the gym, poop still there. No cleaning , so everyone is not active i guess… UPDATE: I’ve been a member for almost a year , and the sauna’s been down multiple times. This is becoming a regular issue, and no one is addressing it , only when you tell them about it they say we’ll have a look. Most staff just do nothing, why can’t you check the sauna every hour if you know is usually a problem with it? Last week they were 3 PEOPLe putting soft drinks in the machine, 3 ?Very hard working indeed , why would one if them check the sauna? Its at the ground floor, you need to go down the stairs . I’m paying £56/month, and I expect the services I’ve paid for. Can someone please help me resolve this?
The gym is ok in terms of equipment with friendly and helpful staff and personal trainers. It was very busy early in the morning, and the space is limited. Also a few more machines could be welcome. I like the fact that it has a sauna, that was the main reason to visit this gym. However, I found the changing room and showers a bit dirty (and smelly), old and tatty with water tempersture flactuating... not great and unsure if I'll be making this my main gym. Possibly the best option is to get a multi gym pass, use the one in Chesham or Amersha, and come here mainly to use the sauna.
Great fun but difficult to get a drink out of the vending machine. Roller disco was good
New changing rooms are great but toilets in other parts of the centre are awful. No toilet paper, disgusting loo, mirror a mess, hand dryer lacks any power. Sort it out BLC. On the plus side, friendly staff provide a good atmosphere.
Only have football training on their floodlite 7-side 3g football pitches which are very good but are slightly worn and weathered in places. I can't comment on all of the other facilities the leisure centre has to offer.
Great clean gym, plenty of equipment to use and always maintained by staff. Quick to replace anything broken or old. Staff super friendly always there to help or answer any questions you have. Great value for money!!
An excellent recent refurbishment; especially the gym, swimming pool and changing rooms. The only exception being the showers that are little more than a single stream of water. Pathetic. But........the facility is already starting to look grubby, with dirty floors and toilets.The young staff know how to hold a hose but not how to clean. A dedicated, well paid, experienced team of cleaners, armed with scrubber driers need to be employed permanently as they are on the continent.
