Insanely cool park rivaled only by Central Park in New York City or The National Mall in Washington DC, in my humble opinion. Not overly crowded in winter. Beauty everywhere. So many dogs running around, swans in the ponds. Great for people watching or going on a run.
Located at upper left corner of The Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens is the most worth visiting place in The Hyde Park. Features the ocean blue pond where is the home of beautify swan, the Diana Memorial and the Prince Altert statue. Super dog friendly which can run freely and meet a lot of friends. Worth visit even in the winter time when most of the places are pretty miserable, Kensington Gardens is the must go. We entered via the entrance opposite to Hilton and exits via the Royal Albert Hall direction. It’s about a 1-2 hours very nice walk.
huge park with loads of little areas to visit, get a bike if u can. palace was a bit of a bummer cause the whole facade was under renovation, saw Queen Victoria’s statue, proceeded to miss Diana’s then ran around the pond to visit her memorial (which is small!) it’s just a really great place to wind down after traipsing around the city like mad rats the whole day. loads of birds here, including ducks, swans and geese for the occasional bird watcher.
Such a great classic park in West London. Usually quite busy with families and tourists and maybe lacking benches compared to many other parks. That said, really beautiful trees, lake and playground
Was staying at a hotel across the street, so went for a walk through the Gardens. It was surprisingly spacious and green, with lots of paths to explore and things to see. The small lake in the middle was full of bird life. Nice place to relax.
Lovely Italian gardens just as you go in very near Lancaster gate tube station. Plenty of benches around the fountains, but you can also hire deck chairs by the hour, or just find a shady spot under a tree
The Italian Garden in Kensington Park is absolutely beautiful and kind of next to Hyde Park. A must-visit to take in the sun and weather on a good day. Plenty of benches to do some people-watching. Although a bit pricey, there are few better things than soft-serve ice cream with a chocolate flake while taking in the scenery!
I felt that Kensington Gardens is more of Princess Diana Memorial. I could feel such deep connection with the princess while walking around here, imagining how she must have walked around the same garden trails. It was a peaceful, nice walk. I do think that a lot more could be done to enhance the garden though.
This is a lovely garden. It was a lovely and sunny Friday, and there were a lot of people enjoying the sunshine with friends and loved ones. There is an Italian cafe and an ice cream van near where we were. The garden was clean as well. We enjoyed our walk.
