One of the best nature walks in London. Relax and unwind by the river, good area for jogging and cycling. Nice and safe area,s for children and dogs.
A Secret Slice of Nature in the City I’ve walked past this area so many times without realising what was tucked away just off the main road. Riverview Walk and the River Pool Linear Park are such a lovely surprise – a peaceful, green corridor that feels miles away from the busy streets of Lewisham. The path is well-maintained and perfect for a gentle stroll or a proper walk with the dog. I love how they’ve kept the natural feel, with the little river (the Ravensbourne) running alongside you. It’s not a grand, manicured park, and that’s the beauty of it – it feels wild and calming. You can hear the birds, see plenty of greenery, and just properly switch off. It’s brilliant for families too. The paved path is great for scooters and little bikes, and there are a couple of cute wooden bridges and spots to stop and watch the water. I saw herons last time, which was a real treat! If you’re in the area and want a quick nature fix without travelling far, this is your spot. A real local gem.
Such a nice hidden treasure, pretty wild path along a natural river. Very well thought out and well maintained. Great place for a walk or bicycle ride!
Nice walk for the area, there seems to be a group of older men getting drunk on the bench by the tunnel as ypu walk in from wickes which makes me feel uncomfortable but so far harmless. I'd never walk it in the dark though. Wish the cyclists would go a bit slower round corners, nearly got hit by one by the bridge.
This is a gorgeous park, especially for taking pictures! It's not your average open park though, it's very long and narrow at points, so it's not particularly safe walking alone in the dark. The river runs throughout though so there is always something to see.
I took my daughter for a nature walk to collect some resources for an art project. It was so peaceful and lovely to see some wildlife as we went.
This is a great little area specifically for bicycles. A bit insecure to unleash your dog there as bicycles can go too fast to stop securely.
