Went here for a birthday dinner and got the set menu! It was great. Such a variety, filling and lots of flavour.
The food is incredibly average at best and seriously lacks flavour. If you want true taste, go to a smaller independent place, otherwise just grab a microwave meal. This is more of an “instragramable” restaurant which relies heavily on the interior decor to entice its customers. Can’t fault the staff or atmosphere, they were great - as were the cocktails and the smart toilets!
Had an amazing experience at Zen! The staff were super friendly and fun, making the whole vibe really relaxed. The food was outstanding and the desserts were just as good. Loved the beautiful décor and the cozy atmosphere. Everything was perfect, couldn’t recommend it more!
Business lunch for 14.50 per person. Good choice of starters and mains. Had my go to of Pan Fried Steak Rolls with Teriyaki which is very tasty. Food came fast. Need to work on how to serve and remove dishes as there was a lot of reaching over people and the table. Good value.
Zen has to be the best spot in Belfast if you are looking for pan Asian cuisine. The food is always fantastic. Service friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Highly recommended booking a table in advance as this is a popular restaurant! It's worth also checking out sister restaurants, House of Zen & The Dumpling Library
Best New Year's Eve Dinner Party in the city! Food delishious, service swift & polite, decor & atmosphere sweet, DJ & cabaret were just perfect! Brilliant all around! Special shout out to the owner who was mingling with guests, chatting and making sure everyone has a great time. Can't recommend enough!
A dining experience to be repeated, not often to I feel the need to write a review past giving stars, unless there is an issue. With Zen I felt compelled to write a review to encourage anyone staying near by to go. The atmosphere were brilliant, the welcome warm, the service perfect. Most importantly the food, I will be going back of only to try new dishes and re enjoy old favourites, to top it off the price was as perfect as the food
Food and cocktails were delicious. Portions were big, especially the chicken teppanyaki which had so much chicken. Service was good, some servers were much more friendly than others. 10% service charge is included in the bill. Food arrived very quickly.
I should have probably ordered something else. The restaurant is very lively and nicely decorated. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. However, the food was very average for me. I ordered Ocean Scallops with a side of noodles and only ended up appreciating the later. The scallops were barely cooked and very lightly seasoned, which does not justify the high price for me.
