A lovely little village pub, serving lovely homemade food. We've been several times over the last 12 months and never been disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Would definitely recommend.
Good quality food at good prices! The pie my husband had was on pie and a pint for £15 and I had the lasagne which was also very good. We went at 12pm on a Saturday so quite early and it was a little cold but I'm sure it would warm up if we'd gone later. We will go again.
Popped into the Old Ship for something to eat. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was delicious. We had too small dogs with us and they were made very welcome. We will definitely be returning.
Was in Southwell for the day and we were looking on internet and came across the old ship so we decided to visit. Friendly, helpful and polite staff the place was very clean and tidy. The food was very reasonably priced and very good quality and a good range of choice. Would recommend to others.
Fantastic pub. My mum had a gammon and really enjoyed it. I had the burger. Food was fresh, decent sized portions, served in a timely manner and the service by Charlie was great. Will definitely return in the coming months.
How times have changed. Excellent quality food lovingly prepared and served by staff who are attentive to the customers needs. The chef along with the owners are improving and extending their menus for all customers needs. That said, there is limited access for the disabled because of height of the property from the road, entrance is via the carpark to the side. Drinks are reasonably priced with a good selection.
Had a lovely Sunday roast here today. Excellent service from the barstaff and servers. The roast is lovely. The beef was cooked perfectly and everything else tasted lovely. Will be returning again :)
Good value for money. The food was excellent and the prices were good. Staff very efficient and friendly well worth a visit and we will definitely be going back for another Sunday dinner
Had a fabulous meal here before a music evening across the road from the pub. Gorgeous food, great value, and really friendly cheerful staff (it makes a real difference having lovely folk serving you!!!). The battered halloumi was delicious, highly recommended. Lovely decor .. we'll definitely be returning.
We ate here for the first time last night. What a delight! The atmosphere was great, the food fabulous and very attentive staff. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going by.
