   The barman (there only appeared to be one member of staff at the bar) forgot our drinks order, but was extremely apologetic when he was reminded. The beers were good. The wine was adequate. The food was delicious, but we waited 50 minutes for it to arrive.

   Genuinely the best Sunday dinner in Nottinghamshire. Exceptional quality of meat, presentation is on point. Vegetables are soggy and roasties are crispy. Starters are both imaginative and top tier when it comes to about. Hesitant to share this too widely as it’ll get busy! Also fantastic park and playground next door for kids and the pub is very child friendly. Lovely manageress does drawing competitions for kids.

   First time here and I was really impressed! The roast chicken dinner was the best I’ve ever had – the chicken was succulent, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Everything was homemade, with the stuffing being especially good, and the gravy was rich and full of flavor. The waitress was very pleasant and the service was quick. I’ll definitely be coming back!

   Our first time at this pub. We went early on a Saturday evening, having booked in advance. The lady who served us was very friendly and efficient. Our food arrived quickly and the time between courses was just right. My wife had the belly pork skewers and I had the bang bang chicken. Both were really very good. Hot and tasty. Our main courses were equally good. Roast chicken and steak frites. The frites were extremely good. Crispy outside and light and fluffy inside. And hot. Overall, our first visit to The Four Bells, was enjoyable and we will probably visit in the future, after the completion of the impending refurbishment.

   After a long 6 mile walk around the countryside, what a lovely place to come to for refreshments and a bite to eat. Fully recommend the place and will definitely return for a more formal meal.

   First Sunday lunch under new ownership! The roast beef was lovely, served pink or cooked through. Fluffy Yorkshire puddings, a variety of vegetables and a large jug of gravy. We even managed the apple crumble with a large jug of fresh custard. Great service from Adam, Katie, Sam and another lady whose name I didn’t catch. This is what Sunday lunch in your local is all about, great atmosphere and excellent food. Well done everyone!
