   Visited this lovely restaurant on Sunday evening and must say, it was a great find. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the food or the place itself, but I felt it deserved a top review anyway. On entering, you get a really cosy feeling, with the soft lighting (and fairy lights always help). The vibe is rustic ....not modern. And the food... We all had different...... Steak, Moules mariniere and I had the Pork. All mains were cooked beautifully and definitely enough on your plate to go home feeling full. Pricewise.... definitely not cheap, but definitely not extortionate........ definitely worth giving this restaurant a try.

   We came for dinner and the food was really excellent! We had the french onion soup, the whitebait and the fish chowder for starters. Both soups were very tasty and the whitebait was freshly fried and crispy! For mains we had the pork tomahawk, which was nice and soft, but quite salty, it almost felt like it had been cured like gammon. The mash was creamy and the sauce cut through the saltines nicely! The roasted veg were really tasty! The burger was excellent and the flavour of the meat was really coming through! The chips were nice and crunchy! The sausage cassoulet had an amazing sauce with onions and the mash was also great! We got the side salad that had a great vinaigrette, that balanced all the fresh salad, olives and dried tomatoes nicely! The place was nearly fully booked on a Monday evening so I would recommend you book before going! The staff were really friendly and kind! We will definitely visit again!

   This is hands down one of the best restaurants in Nottingham. Cosy vibes. Good quality French cuisine. Friendly service - Roman is so lovely. I always look forward to seeing what specials will be on the board. Keep doing what you are doing!

   The meal we had here at le mistral was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection and the quality was top notch. The service was great and they fit us in very last minute as well. Would highly recommend to anyone eating out in sherwood area and it’s worth the travel from around Nottingham! Charlotte provided the best service I’ve had, ever. What a brilliant experience. I would highly recommend to absolutely anyone staying in Nottingham and it’s worth travelling out of the city centre for!

   Had my wife's lunch birthday here (despite she is not in the UK for now). The 2 set course meal is a must for better savings (you can have the main, paired with either starters or dessert). Here's what I had: Starter: WILD MUSHROOMS & BRIOCHE - tasty mushrooms and tomatoes, good combination of cream Main: CHICKEN & BACON FRICASSÉE - delicious bacon and leek sauce makes the wonder, best paired with chicken and rice when mixing them all together Dessert: LEMON TART - a standard lemon tart lol (thank you for putting up a candle for my wife's birthday) I enjoyed the ambience and lovely service there and will look forward to trying their Sunday roasts soon.

   The most amazing birthday meal out! We had a chorizo and honey starter, and then for mains we had linguine and mussels. A real lovely local atmosphere, our server went above and beyond for us, being super polite and telling us all the options we had. We could definitely tell the food is authentic and fresh. Will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone for something different in Nottingham.

   Good food, the lamb sauce was delicious, the lamb was cooked very nice, the vegetables could get a bit more love, but they were good. I was impressed with the white bait and the Belgian chocolate was fantastic. Overall 5 stars.
