If you like traditional Chinese food and dim sum dishes then this is your place look no further. But you have to book in advance avoid disappointment. You know when you eat something that brings back your youth memories. Give it a try

Just found this authentic chinese restaurant in Nottingham. From the front door before I entered, I already smell the authentic food and I was sure that I would have a great food here and it was true!!! The service was amazing, the waiters and the waitresses contolled constantly. We didn’t need to wait for long time to wait for the food and switch from the starters and the mains. It was an amazing experience here and I highly recommend this place!

Had the roast duck at Mandarin; skin was properly crispy, meat tender, and the flavour hit just right. All matched my taste perfectly. The onion seasoning of the deep-fried squid rings was addictive!! Definitely planning to come back and try more.

All the HK people who have moved to Nottingham know this place. It’s probably one of not the best Chinese food places in Nottingham. The seafood was fresh, the prawns were so fresh. The peking duck was cooked to perfection. The waiters were excellent and helped when needed. However the toilets were being fixed so a little annoying

I like the Mandarin I have been going to this restaurant for many years not often as it is a trek, however the staff always remember us and and do everything to make our visit perfect. I do think that they have had a new chef as the taste of the food as changed, this is not a bad thing its just different but still very good. I do think prices have gone up and portion size gone fown but thats just the times we live in. All in all I love this place and the food is always good.

Lovely chicken and sweet corn soup. Followed by fab dim sum and jasmine tea. Maître d’ was super attentive. Lovely lunch.

We came here originally on Thursday. But they were closed. Serves me right for not paying attention to the opening hours on Google Maps. Luckily, Nottingham is pretty small that coming back the next day was no issue. The food here is on par with and even better, in some cases, than dim sum restaurants in Canada (Downtown Toronto, Scarborough). We ordered 8 dishes for a family of three and was satisfied with the portion sizes. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for quality dim sum.

It was a very popular place and might require reservation in advance if the customer did not want to wait. A bit disappointed that the food was only on average, dish and dim sum size were small. Staff was quite friendly and refilling of tea pot was fast.

Absolutely the authentic taste of old Hong Kong and we all miss it so much!! The dim sum are scrumptious and we particularly like their barbecued pork crisp, egg tart and shrimp dumpling. Most impressive dishes are roasted duck, fried stuffed three treasure (煎釀三寶), sweet and sour pork and stir fried rice noodles with beef.
