Very nice! Met a friend for Sunday roast and we sat in the bar area. Had a lovely time. Really reasonable price for such a generous portion. All really tasty but I felt the girlie was a tad scorched!
We had a lovely birthday meal at Butchers. Starters were scallops and braised beef pie. They were fab! Cooked really well; very tasty. Then we had steak; ribeye and fillet. Cooked exactly as we asked. The onion ring sides were amazing; lovely big home made rings. The staff were lovely; welcoming, attentive and polite. Great place. Would highly recommend.
Haven’t been for a while but a great choice for a fantastic Sunday lunch Great serving and helpful staff. Really enjoyable and even had room for there desserts with a twist.
This place has so much going for it. It was a mixed experience. Maybe we were just unlucky. We had the 'mega-roast' Sunday dinner. The pork was great. The beef lacked flavour. The chicken was bland. The roast potatoes had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for hours - they were not good at all, chewy and flavourless. All other veggies were lovely and buttery, not overcooked so still had a good bite. Gravy was tasty but too runny for my personal taste. Service was slow, we were directed to our table and had to go and find our own menus, a bit annoying considering we saw a couple who arrived after us being shown to their table and provided with menus and water. Our food arrived really quickly but we had to wait ages for plates. Overall, I'd say not worth the money.
Had a lovely meal at The Butchers. We had a ‘Mega Roast’ and it was amazing! The meat was incredible and the unlimited trimmings ensured you had enough food (and some going spare). We will definitely be back. The service was great- Holly was warm, welcoming and attentive. All staff were fantastic. 5/5 would recommend.
Came here for Valentines Day and the food was amazing! Very well presented with good flavour and was just the right amount. I would highly recommend!
I came here for a Sunday lunch with my mum and I'll definitely be returning! There was a huge range of choice on the menu, I got the sirloin from the Sunday lunch menu and it was delicious. The staff were all really friendly and attentive and the overall atmosphere was inviting. The restaurant also has a fab bar, and the lovely bartender made me a really nice cocktail - I don't remember the name of it... but I do know it tasted great! I'll definitely be back again soon,.
My goodness! When I drove up to this amazing place, I had my reservations, but as witnessed by the photos below, they didn’t last long. Superb food, attentive servers, excellent host. Ok, it’s not cheap, but my goodness it is worth it. We will be back, probably very soon! Can recommend the steak flight and roast lunches.
Actually incredible all around. The Sunday roast is the most perfect tasting & combination of foods I have ever experienced. Awesome staff, outstanding chef, stunning venue and I will take a long drive up this part of the country again - even if purely to visit this steakhouse with my girlfriend. Whoa. So good.
Went for Sunday Lunch. It was marvellous , it was excellent. Easily the best Sunday Lunch in the area. Pleasant, smiling staff who gave good service. The beef was medium rare, nicely pink in centre, tender and the pork also excellent. Don't understand why it isn't full on a Sunday as it is far better than others in the area for Sunday Lunch. Had migraine and had to leave quickly, sorted bill quickly for us, missed dessert as a result! Will be back .
