Lovely pub easier to get to than i thought. Well kept ales served to perfection, always has a dark ale on, what more do you want. Playing for time last opic is after 25 mins still not gone flat.
Great pub, we had a coach load stop here this weekend, was made very welcome by all the staff and regulars. Would highly recommend it !!
Superb food, freshly cooked each time we have been. We create our own tapas style lunch and have never been disappointed. Great value for money. Thankfully we have found a local pub within walking distance of home. We will be visiting on a weekly basis but I think the food is only available Thursday through to Saturday.
Absolutely brilliant, great food, great choice, great prices, traditional real ales and plenty of choice and a generally a great pub/restaurant. A gastro pub with very reasonable prices. Service is friendly and efficient and everyone is very welcoming. We've already booked to go twice.

Great selection of ales, plenty of seating inside and out. Visited there for the first time 20 years ago, and today was my second visit, it was just as good!
Great home cooked food. The Steak & Ale pie is mouth watering, chunky pieces of steak and you can really taste the ale. With a proper pastry, not just a puff one resting on top. Excellent selection of real ales, which are changed regularly. And the waitress that served us (blondish hair) was excellent and attentive. Definitely worth a visit and book a taxi
