Chose of the menu rather than the carvery, then people were walking past and I was beginning to think I may regret foing for a prawn starter, absolutely mouth watering, satisfyingly...... spot on. The main, mixed grill, wow. Piping hot, everything, cooked to perfection I swear Gotdon has some competition!.. Highly recommended for a truly exquisite meal. Thank you to all the staff. “My wife and I made our first visit to 'The Stump' ( Mount Pleasant) since the 1980's . After a recommendation on Facebook we decided to call in for a late night drink after playing Bridge. The Mount Pleasant is open until 23:00 and serves until 22:45 . We had checked on the Real Ale Finder site that the Mount Pleasant regularly updates and found that they had an interesting Abbeydale Hazelnut and Coffee Stout on. They regularly change 9 of the real ales that they have on offer and a chalk board lists the beers and prices . The Mount Pleasant has a long ( thin) layout with a car park ( also long and thin on its right hand side ) . We accessed the pub via a rear door from the car park . A covered smoking deck is at the back then the single door access ( with a single step) leafs into a corridor that runs the length of the pub with single doorways to enter the front and rear bar rooms . The pub was warm and friendly with a group of people at another table enjoying snack type food . We had a half of the Abbeydale Stout and were pleasantly surprised by the price of only £3.90 for a pint of this 5.2% strength Stout. We enjoyed it so much we squeezed in another half before closing time . The service was friendly and when I mentioned that the last time we visited the Mount Pleasant was in the 1980's the landlady jokingly replied that she was not even born then. It is not surprising that The Mount Pleasant is in the 2025 Camra Good Beer Guide . We both enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend The Stump as a 'must visit ' if you are in the area .”

“Brilliant little pub with such a warm welcome. The staff are very friendly, quick and attentive. The beer is always good, with a good choice of Holdens and they have a cool little Gin section too. Regular live music always makes for a lovely atmosphere.”

“The food at Tapri is fabulously flavoursome! I’ve been to many curry restaurants, but none have the depth of flavour and perfect blend of spices that Tapri does. The staff always give us such a warm welcome and really take care of us every time we visit. If you haven’t been yet and you’re craving a tasty feast, you must try it. I honestly can’t recommend it enough!”

“Great pub with delicious food. I was there for the second time and I was still nicely surprised with the taste of meals. Portions are big, the food is freshly made and is nicely decorated on the plates . The staff are friendly and the pub is clean and tidy. Summerhouse has plenty of car park spaces and also the garden with the tables and sits outside. Behind the garden area there are meadows with wild flowers and free roaming horses. I highly recommend this pub. It's a shame for me that this pub is not close to Coventry where I live.”

“Visited today with a large group for a birthday celebration and we were really pleased with our choice. Service is absolutely fantastic as usual and they were so patient with the kids and changes to the order. Food was fast, hot and tasty. They cater to gluten free really well so that set my mind at ease for my daughter. Great interior and decor, and clean everywhere in arrival with a lovely welcome sign for my other half’s birthday. Lovely little oasis in Wolves, recommend to anyone wanting a great value meal in a relaxed environment.”

“Visited on Sunday 21st December and we were looked after by Sam, who was super attentive, polite, and very likeable. She has a lovely personality and made sure we were comfortable throughout the evening. The food was excellent. I had the lamb shank shepherd’s pie, which was incredibly tender, rich in flavour, and topped with the most delicious mash. The venue itself was dressed beautifully for Christmas — warm, cosy, and with perfectly chosen ambient music that really set the scene. Thank you to the whole team at Himley House. Have a wonderful Christmas.”

“We visited the Seven Stars in Sedgley for the First time today for a meal out. Being Disabled I was pleasantly surprised to Find the the Disabled parking bays next to the ramp leading into the main entrance. Inside it was well laid out into several eating areas so we easily found a table then ordered our meal at the bar. We were served by a very nice young lady Laurie-Jo, We both ordered the fish and chips. Shortly after getting back to our seats the meal was served by a member of the kitchen staff he was very helpful and attentive. The meal was very well presented and cooked to perfection. While eating our food we noticed Laurie-Jo Thoroughly cleaning the empty tables thereby maintaining the pristine condition of the interior of the Seven Stars. Overall we enjoyed our meal and visit and can thoroughly Recommend the Seven Stars. We will visit again in the near future.”

“What a lovely cosy quirky pub! First time here and local, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the place is and the food was scrumptious! I had lovely beer battered scallops and the pheasant casserole - very nice and full of flavour. My fiancé had the warm turkey ciabatta which he loved. The surroundings are beautiful including the outside stream and love the funny Black Country sign posts on the roadway through!”

“I live in Liverpool, so I have absolutely no reason to say anything positive even—why would I bother to comment? But wow! I never thought I’d have a proper takeaway like this again. I usually love a la carte, posh vegan restaurants, but I’ve missed the greasy, indulgent pizzas I used to have before going vegan—and this place delivered exactly that. The calzone, garlic bread, and pizza were all incredible. Even better, it was a hit with my two autistic kids, which isn’t always easy. We were just visiting the Black Country Museum, and if I’m ever in the area again, of course I’ll be ordering—because wow. Ignore the other negative reviews—they’re talking rubbish. Maybe they just don’t like vegans, haha!”
