    Tried this pub as we normally go and end up at the pub opposite but thought we would give this one a try. Pub was very quite but the ales on tap was very good. Not sure of it was the time we got here which would have been after 10.30pm or so but never the less the drinks were on par. Food not had so hence why the small rating but i would like to visit this place bit earlier and see what it's like. It shows the footie as there was some signs so thats a bonus if you live close by and need a place to watch the football. Staff were more than friendly and welcoming which is always nice and that is a nice touch. All in all i would recommend this place and i would come here again.

    Best pint of the knight. Ales on tap that have been looked after highly recommend. I didn't eat hear hence the one star. And ive only given 3 stars for atmosphere because for some reason the bar was empty.

    Friendly enough welcome, three real ales, the one I had was well kept, just didn't get much feeling from the place. Of note was the fact that the fire exit doors from the rear room were chained shut, so serious breach of H&S regs there.....seen this on two occasions now.

    Nice enough pub, polite staff and reasonable choice of ale. Beer garden is a bit basic and furniture has seen better days. Vaping used to be allowed but not now for some reason. This means that one has to listen to foul-mouthed individuals while breathing in their second hand smoke. Nice.
